Vue.js devtools

Does not work.

No longer supports Vue 2 and Vue 3, making it difficult to manage multiple projects when some are still on Vue2, especially as the legacy Vue2 extension doesn't seem to work.

On every update, new bugs are introduced! most of the time, it doesn't show updates in the component's properties and I have to close and re-open devTools to fix it, and when I refresh the page, it hangs again.

Does not support Vue2 and therefore unfortunately is completely useless to my workplace.

when chrome updated , the dev tools is in small box in console and i can't use that , please fix the extenstion ASAP. King Regards

Quite often does not show up in the dev toolbar. What is happening to Vue? It used to be so solid

Used to be great when I used it with Vue 2 a few years ago, but since updating for Vue 3 it's gradually gotten slower and worse to the point where it's now pretty much unusable, I can't even view state because devtools is in a constant state of refresh closing everything I open. Is there an alternative?

Sorry to say, but the flash on update functionality is now totally absent / broken? I will have to rollback to a previous version just for this.

Experiencing issues with state on Vue 3 / Pinia. In particular with Mapbox GL JS

Component state is no longer working. Switched back to legacy devtools

Unusable: large state mutations on Vue 3 / Pinia take minutes with this extension on, milliseconds off. This is even with __VUE_DEVTOOLS_NEXT_PLUGIN_SETTINGS__dev.esm.pinia__ = {"logStoreChanges":false}

Not support for Vue 2 from version 7. Also, its not possible to down version to 6

No longer able to copy anything without having to copy value or copy path, design went backwards and hurts the eyes with its new colors

why my dev-tool version be updated ?

This new version is seriously broken. Some of my components, while showing on the left, do not show any of the values on the right pane. They are Vue 3, composition API, script setup, typescript components. I guess I will revert to an older version.

Seems to be broken, I can no longer get it to show when I inspect a Vue page, even old tricks like changing theme or reinstalling does not seem to get it to work.

Why always say "Vue.js not detected". It's begin with new version "7.5.6"

The extension is unusable. Every time I open it, the whole browser freezes.

recently on open the tool it cause memory leak and chrome freeze till crash

A recent update has clearly introduced a memory leak into Vue Devtools. No matter what vue app I am working on, the moment I open the "Vue" tab in developer tools, Chrome's memory consumption begins to climb exponentially until Chrome crashes. This used to work wonderfully, and was a very useful resource for debugging Vue apps. But it is completely unusable now.

Not able to locate Vuex mutation records tab

Very hacky, Pinia dissappears, which makes it very difficult to work with stores.

Nothing but problems lately. Some components I can inspect just fine. When I select others, the green loading bar just spins and spins. Then I get errors about infinite loops in the js console and the extension will crash. Or it will crash the entire browser tab. But it's getting to the point where there are so many bugs that it's just not worth using the dev tools extension at all.

it worked well for a while, but lately its been causing chrome to freeze and crash. At first I thought it might be the project I'm working on, but recently created a new project, and it still happened, after a little use, and if i switch tabs, it causes chrome to freeze completely and i have to force quit.

Stay away if using chrome. Constant crashes. Works well in firefox.

Overall it provides cool functionality. Especially I like possibility to see and change store in live mode. But performance of dev tools is terrible after each page refresh when this extension is turned on. It takes around 30 seconds after each page refresh to unfreeze devtools. Also sometimes you will need to reopen devtools and refresh the page to make this extension working.. Performance tab is very buggy as well, I thought that it would be a great to debug performance issues, but it seams to be completely useless and not helpful.

I don't know what's happening now but Vue Devtools is crashing my Chrome every time I use it.

Unfortunately, this tool no longer works on my set-up - which is quite disappointing, as it used to be one of my default tools.

It used to work pretty okay - very rarely did it not show up. But for quite some time now, it's been a complete disaster 🙈 Stay away!

devtools makes chrome crash on this version,idk why?

They've broken it! As other people have mentioned, most of the time the navigator freezes, so you have to close the browser down. Please fix! Tried in IE, Brave and Chrome and it's all the same.

For some reason, when I use the devtools my navigator freezes and when I go to task manager to forcibly close the navigator, it begins to use lots of resources, chuging RAM like crazy (I have 32GB). I don't know why the extension bricks my navigator, but it is really annoying. I'm using brave v1.64.116, vue extension v6.6.1 and windows 11 pro, but this has been a problem for me more than a year. Maybe it conflicts with other extensions I have, which are angular devtools, goFullPage, laravel testools, react devtools, redux devtools and wappalyzer.

It was a great tool, however in the past few days I've been using it, it's freezing my app. I run the app with Vue dev tools open, freezes. Run it with it closed, app runs fine. If Vue has a chance of staying relevant, this tool needs to work.
