Wow. Where to begin. I really liked this at first, but now, I have to say that this software is so buggy and has so little support and education information on how to use it that it renders the program completely useless. I made the mistake of trying to rely on this software to write up some sheet music and found a few bugs (or lack of feature) so now I have to start the entire thing over by scratch. Using a pencil and paper. I don't know if they allow for multiple lines of lyrics, but if they do, you would never know because their documentation on adding text is so nonexistent I could barely find anything on the subject. Not to mention removing text. There is basically nothing written on the subject. And it seemed to glitch every time I added text - I'd click another note, and it would copy and paste the text. It was extremely difficult to remove. Then I learned that there was no intuitive way to add a second line of lyrics. Again, I don't know if they even have this feature because nothing is written on the subject. Or if it is, it's next to impossible to find. The real kicker however was when my sheet music went onto a second page. I was adding lyrics, and come to the bottom of page 1, when I find that the last system is cut off. I could see the chords above the system, but the rest of it was cut off, and then I saw page 2 and realized the glitch. That's when I realized I would have to start over the whole project by hand. Pencil and Paper. I had to go out to buy pencils just so I could finish this project. I am extremely upset, not just at this company but at myself for thinking I could rely on it. I will not bother with this software again, as it is completely unreliable, and worthless for actually creating useful lead sheets or sheet music.

Impossible to add note between other two, to move notes and pauses, to remove or move last pause in measure, which is added after every action in editor. This makes app useless.

Inconsistent, aggravating, and devoid of any fun in music composition whatsoever.

lol it's annoying as hell to do. It put sixteenth rests and I couldn't change them, so instead of using eighth notes I had to use sixteenths. Very annoying.

A very good idea in theory (free to use shareable music notation software,) however, in practice, it's slow, crashes frequently, and has many, many issues. Add in the fact that the app has become somewhat unusable due to the rapid conversion of regular features to premium only features, and it begins to seem more and more like flat just isn't worth your time.

I can not end the song, and start on a new line. I am using Google Chrome, but it kept telling me that for the full experience, switch to Chrome

I get that it gets easier with practice, but with how hard this is to use, I genuinely think you're better off learning real piano. This program is profoundly challenging to use, And I saw no tutorial. It really is a well made bitlet of software, But this thing made me question my musical talent when piano was one of the only things I considered myself good at. In conclusion, It's pretty darm good, But it's very hard to use and that fact kind of ruins it's quality

Very good and very easy to write the music but the navigation is extremely frustrating at times. For example, sometimes a staff falls at that awkward point where it's not at the bottom of a page but also not at the next page, so the section is virtually inaccessible. Or how the scroll bars completely disappear frequently (and the arrow keys don't do the job) and thus I am slowed down very much just trying to go to a different section of the music. The latter issue wasn't a problem before, not sure why it is now. If these issues were not present I would give this app five stars, no question.

This software is okay i wish it allowed for chord input in the same what that similar programs allow through macro keys.

It is on it's way to being a great app. I am hoping to use this in a primarily educational setting, arranging warmups for my school band. Here are my suggestions to the developers: Needs ability to transpose between parts. Playback is all over the place rhythmically. I'd go to basic piano midi sound and clean that up before worrying about electronic timbre. When selecting instruments, could you do a "check all" list within each family? It was a bit tedious to repeat click for a 12 piece score. Don't forget percussion! That should be a pretty simple addition. Keep at it Flat crew! This has the potential to allow me to teach generation of students a much deeper level of composition than ever before.
