What NewsLens does: Open any news article, click the NewsLens button, and get an instant AI-powered breakdown: Emotional Tone — detects the overall emotional coloring of the article: neutral, alarming, aggressive, sarcastic, or pompous. Scored 0–10. Manipulation Detection — identifies persuasion techniques: fear-mongering, false dilemmas, appeal to authority, cherry-picking, and more. Propaganda Markers — flags one-sided framing, loaded language, and narrative patterns common in state or corporate propaganda. Fact-Check — highlights key claims that need verification, red flags, and missing context the author left out. Neutral Rewrite — generates a bias-free summary of the article's core facts in 3–5 sentences. Two AI engines — your choice: ⚡ Chrome Built-in AI (Gemini Nano) — runs locally on your device. Free, private, no data leaves your browser.
