Chromium Wheel Smooth Scroller

This extension changed my permission settings in Brave browser to allow all sites to use JAVA. I block java and only allow sites that I trust. That is a security issue and a deal breaker for me.

The extension was so good, but recently in the new vivaldi 4.3 it gives a lot of artifacts, parts of the letters stay creating artifacts... so strange.

Went through all the trouble of setting it up only to find out it's complete trash and doesn't work on everything. What a complete and total waste of time. Doesn't even come with Chrome's default settings smh.

No longer works with 73 or 74. Major disappointment. Loved the extension when it was working. Doesn't work on latest snapshot of 75 either.

disable acceleration by distance, and then it became jittery

Rolling performance on complex pages is too low. "update layer tree" slow

It does not work with Chrome, after you finish setting it up, you go back to the websites and there is no effect. I closed Chrome and started it again, and the same thing no effect. Extension does not work.

Does no work for M$ wireless mouse in Ubuntu 16.04

No wa yto just disable smooth scrolling

Killed view in Trello, Slack and sometimes Facebook when viewing galleries (unpredictable cutting of content, strange aligning, no scroll at all etc.). Since I cannot turn it off specifically for these pages, I removed it. Disappointment.

This god awful extension makes chromium extremely slow and slaggish in page rendering performance. Just disable it and test by reloading a page yourself. The difference is astounding.

Useless when viewing videos in Youtube. Pressing Space key after focusing the Youtube player will scroll the page instead of usual Play/Pause.

If you aren't a techie, don't go near it. Have no idea how to deal with it. Why are these things even availoable. Please make things simpler, not more confusing. The radio, and TV worked. Computers are becoming anti-democratic for no real reason. Spend brainpower making basic functions work w/o bugs. No more apps till the basics work.

I'm on Windows 64-bit Win8 and this extension does absolutely nothing. ..At all. I've tweaked all settings and options to their respective maximum and minimum values with no effect what so ever. Enabling smooth scrolling in Chrome via "chrome://flags/" works just fine. Uninstalled.

I can edit the options but cannot activate it. (nothing happens after i edited the options.)

I was using this with Chrome. I'm on a Mac OSX, running Snow Leopard. I loved this app. When I got fed up of having Chrome freezing on a daily basis - sometimes twice, and more, a day - I've started to think on what might be causing this. I know that some apps create incompatibilities within the system, so I've disabled them all - except for Chromium wheel. Problems went out, till the day when I've decided to disable my lovely app. And that was it! Chrome no longer froze! I've had to enable Chromium wheel in order to be able to comment on it, but my next move will be to delete this.

Does not work with the latest version of Chrome.

Gave me serious eye-aches and head-aches. For some reason, my eyes just couldn't handle it. So upset because it's such a beautiful looking scroll :(

I am quite surprised by all the favourable comments. In fact I completely baffled. I must be stupid. I can't get it to make any difference. I certainly can't get any improvement. For a start I don't know what I am trying to do because I don't understand what "braking" etc is. I have tried every conceivable combination of settings, and it is very frustrating. There are always three possible results. (1) It makes no difference. Or (2) It makes a small difference but it's worse not better. Or (3) It is slightly better but I have no idea which setting-change made that difference. I wish there was a suggested optimal combination of settings. One could start from there

Why did the developer update this extension if it used to work wonderfully? Did he know the proverb ”if it ain't broke, don't fix it”? After the last update, it scrolls badly. I tested on 2 of my devices. I managed to downgrade to an older version 2.0.6 that I found on the internet, since the version updated on 19 july 2023 is unusable. To all users who downgrade: after you activate developer mode in Chrome, please load the extension as unpacked or else, it will keep updating itself to the last version, which is unusable.

Doesn't work properly in latest releases of Chrome, stuttering scrolling. I think it's conflicting with the smooth scrolling built into the browser.

You mean Chromium Wheel LAGGER? Please make it use more gpu

there is a problem with the latest version of chrome 64.0.3282.119 (Official Build) (64-bit)! the problem is in the Bouncy Edge option, if it is enabled in some sites the scroll when you arrive at the bottom of the page stops suddenly and there is no way to scroll the page with the mouse wheel but only by dragging the scroll bar to the right of the page ... please fix it ... ps sorry for my bad english ... -.- "

Makes scrolling stutter, unfortunately.
