Cannot log in, takes me to the onboarding page every time I click log in. Any update when this will be fixed?

I pretty much like this extension but as someone else has mentioned there is forced registration and login where u cant use your browser properly and there is no GUEST mode to use it without signing in here is the guy and i absolutely agree that new tab extension should not do these: Ivo 6 Feb 2025 "Forced registration Forced use of an extension Forced user profiling on first login. The tags are f-ing useless. Idk how the feed works and supposed to be configured, I've chosen the tags according to my expertise, but all I got on my feed mostly all javascript, and the rest is also nowhere near relevant to my tags.

Can not find the setting to turn off auto display when open a new tab

It slows down my browser everytime i open a new tab. It automatically opens itself on every tab while replacing some of my default browser settings. I want to visit the site to read or the extension should only show if I click on it or something

It does not strictly follow the tags. On top of my feed I would items from topics I never followed.

I'm interested in the concept, but I'm not a fan of the extension automatically opening the Daily Dev website in new tabs. Can I access the Daily Dev website without using the extension?

Implementation is really bad. Doesn't work with Arc browser (Chromium based) though extensions should be compatible. When I browse to the website it just asks me to install the extension again. Terrible experience.

OK, I do not want this extension hijacking my "new tab" in Chrome. It doesn't matter how good this might be, I demand control of my computer. There seems to be no way to shut this permission off in Manage Extensions in Chrome. If it keeps insisting I will remove the extension. Update: it keeps hijacking my new tab function, so I deleted it. Not going to put up with that.

It is not allowing to proceed without verifying my email. But at the same time, they are not sending ant Otp to my email even after numerous retries.

Almost all of the content is for beginners. Finding something new and interesting is very hard. Articles on main page looks like AI generated (but they boast that they can filter it - i doubt it). I have used it for over 2 months, everyday trying to find something interesting, everyday clicking this clickbait titles - all for nothing. Just another time waster - like tiktok!

Why do you enforce to change my new tab page settings?

Changes your actual homepage. All the button does is open the website. Would rather just make a bookmark than have an extension hijack my browser.

A very good, rapidly developing extension. Always loved it! But I'm rating 1 start to get the attention from the support. Did you guys know you have an issue with google account login and signup? It just doesn't work. I forgot to leave a review last time because was able to login with Github. But yeah please look into it ASAP!!!! It is SOOO annoying sometimes

Is it possible to open daily.dev when clicking on the pinned extension? Whenever I open a new tab in Chome, it's daily.dev . This is really annoying. Other users already made the same complaint since last year but it won't change. So I deleted my account and uninstalled the extension.

Very intrusive new login flow added recently, just more data hoarding to sell to the new investors I guess. Business model notwhitstanding, the user experience has been degraded, the auth does not work properly and I find myself logging in again every once in a while, multiple times a day, when I open a new tab. I can't even search something quickly on the address bar that it gets replaced by daily.dev login URL.

It's start to force users to create account/login to easier to track them. I don't want to create account so I removed it

I loved this extension and still using it because of its rich content, but as of now I will uninstall it and rate it 1 star for a permission that requested to "Read and Change all of my data on all website" there's no reason to ask for such permission and you guys don't have the right to ask for a such one!

I don't get all the great reviews, it shows the same posts for a week and only a couple of them I find its title interesting but then once I visit the link none of them are useful and are mostly clickbait or self promotion articles.

This extension changed my homepage to daily.dev without asking me. Fortunately, Google Chrome warned me about it and I uninstalled it right away. So intrusive!

Would rate 5 starts if the extension allowed me to choose if I wanted it to be my default page on new tabs. I use other extensions as new tabs, so I simply cannot use this extension.

this is the first thing that needs to be done 1. show info based on relevance & frequency of the multiple sources the info aggregation is getting the info from - so if 'python 3.0' is in say 80-100% of all the sources within a week's time, then i'll be worth showing 2. highlights key terms such as the subject like companies, names, places, etc. so that the info is easily scannable the media always did nothing but complained about info-overload for years, instead of valueless info, actually make things better and do something good nothing about this extension is new or valuable

Everything is perfect about the platform, but the policies are a bit different for different people. Because of that, my posts were not visible to the public. I got a warning not to share paywall content on the platform, even though before that I shared a lot of content that was not paywalled. The founders are too biased; they can promote whoever they like and ban whoever they don’t like. I was growing here as a creator, and suddenly this happened. If you have policies like that, you need to make sure everyone gets the same fair treatment. After so many appeals to lift the ban on my account, there was no response. Because of that, I had to delete my account. There you go, my years' worth of work got deleted just like that. Even though I have contributed to the growth of the platform.

There is some useful content but I don't like being forced to use an extension. Why not just let us access as a web page?

Until now, it was free and best extension and super useful for developers. They said it would always be free, but they added advertisements and switched to a subscription model. I’ll remove it if they ask for money to read articles.

How to disable the extension to take control of my New Tab window? I want my New Tab to be new as it was not replaced by the daily.dev's home page. I only go to daily.dev by clicking on the extension icon.

On their website, they did not state that this extension would hijack the new tab. I have decided to keep it though, but I don't like the marketing tricks. Update: Its been a week, and i have uninstalled the extension. Impressions are that the posts are literally my youtube feed but they appear every time I open a new tab, which is distracting.

I have been enjoying daily.dev for quite some time. Unfortunately, I'm forced to uninstall. When I attempted to login with my Google account, I was warned that "Google hasn’t verified this app". After continuing, I was prompted to allow "See and download your contacts", which I find entirely inappropriate and untrustworthy. I have many sensitive contacts and was not given an alternative option.

It's okay when I'm free to browse, but 99% of the tim i'll open new tab to find my speed dials & google search bar.[Not the default url field i'm talking about]. I want those in top of the feed page. Currently removing this extension. If it has the two things later, i'll definetly install it again

The idea is great, except that I occasionally lose card data, frequently get logged out, and worst of all (since all links refer back to api.daily.dev) experiencing frequent 500 server errors. I honestly don't understand why api.daily.dev has to be a middleman to shorten url links when it makes no sense to share that link directly. If it's supposed to be used to simply gather usage data, why isn't it a simple an <a> ping attribute used to dispatch that data?
