Paid extension promoted as free.
I love this extension — it is by far the best tool I have found for keeping everything organized and accessible. That said, I cannot bring myself to give money to this company. It is appalling that they advertise it as a free extension when it clearly is not. There is nothing free about it. You are required to pay to use it, plain and simple. You get a free 7-day trial. But an extension that is free to use and a 7-day trail are not the same things at all. No more obvious than a free extension would still be useable on day 8! To be clear, that is not the real issue for me. I would genuinely love to use this extension, and I would happily pay for it. My problem is that I refuse to support any company that is not upfront with its customers. Are they the only company that operates this way? Absolutely not — they are far from alone. Do they care what I think? Almost certainly not. But I care about others, even when that feeling is not returned. I am not trying to change the world or tell anyone else what to do. I simply refuse to stand by and participate in the kind of dishonesty that makes it a little worse for everyone.
Nothing offered for free, have to pay straight away to use. False.
Nothing against asking money for hard work but Google really needs to add a better way of distinguishing between "Offers in-app purchases" and "Requires in-app purchases", especially if the amount of "artistic" freedom this extension takes when it comes to emphasizing the word "free".
So it offers to add to Chrome for free, but on the very next page: "7 days trial, then pay us". What is wrong with this world? It's nothing but false advertising.
Don't trust it—it's a fraud. The extension doesn't work properly and requires strict payment. Stay away from it.
Promotes it as an free add-on. It's not free. Dont waist my time. Stuff like this makes me want to use another browser.
It obliges to an USD 100 per year subscription; no free/ limited gratis version. Not my cup of tea.
Misleading information to try the extension. It doesn't even work without accepting a free trial which leaves you with a giant ad every time you open a new time instead.
Developer says "Offers in-app purchases" is sufficient information but it DOES NOT work without purchase and thus that is a purposefully misleading statement. That is not an "offer", that is a requirement. I assume it works well considering the positive reviews, but after noticing the sidebar wasn't working without the free trial I came to read more closely. I don't have extra cash, and wouldn't have attempted this one if it was clear that a purchase was required. That is the difference, developer.
It is NO FREE
sucked and sticks around after uninstall.
Scam, and i believe this request is going nowhere . I wasent informed this would be a paid extension and even the paid features work horribly i kept getting error options the icons when clicked on wont open. My mistake was to not check the comments, as everyone has stated kindly add to your description ''includes paid features'' it takes only a couple seconds, however saying how the develops arent even able to keep the paid features working properly its useless to think they would bother looking into such ''trivial'' matters. DO NOT DOWNLOAD this, unless you want to have a useless extension. theres similar extensions to this, yes less premium looking and less features but there completely free of cost. P.S i wont mention those extensions incase my review gets deleted or smth.
7-day trial period with payment incentive
No Stars, Paid app, tell me before I waste my time downloading and signing in with email. stupid BS
Paid app
This Extension leads to crashes in Brave Browser at the time. And long Load time by starting a new instance
Some BS making me try this out without any prior indication of this being a paid extension.
This extension works only with the a substantial paid subscription!! The description says nothing about required payments. Users get roped in to install the extension and then surprise surprise have to pay. I hate this kind of business practice and will never use or recommend this extension just for this reason!!
Nowhere in the description does it state that this is a paid app only! This is unacceptable and deceptive to leave out this major detail. Many complaints about this and you still have not fixed it. Not that time consuming to edit the description to include this! This fact shows that you are intending to be deceptive! Not someone I would like to hand my money to.
Seems very helpful and cool. You instal the "free chrome extension", they ask to log in with your google account and then they show the paid plans... I don't understand what's free... Now I can't even delete my account. A waste of time and effort. Please, as other users said (I should have check the comments before installing this) BE CLEAR with the communication and specify that it´s a paid extension. And please, delete my account. Thanks
Used it when it was free. Now it's super overpriced. I might have been willing to pay a one time $10 fee but the pricing model is just too much. I use AI New Tab: Calendar, Tasks, ChatGPT. it's free 🙌
I thought this was actually a google product as it launched itself from Chrome. The extension details don't mention anything about a cost and it isn't until you install it that you can't do anything at all until you pay for it. So deceptive!
This popped up from nowhere. Initially I thought it looked interesting. They want $20 per month with a reduction if you pay within 15 minutes, with a 7 day trial. This is scam tactics even if the paid (no free version) is good. $20 for a side panel, are you crazy.
Paid extension. Not a problem with that. The developer misled me from a screen pop-up related to bookmark checker, doesn't mention this in the Chrome Web Store, and finally, not when you first access the extension. Only after signing in does the user find out it's a paid extension. Save your apologies...just bad marketing. Wasted my time! Scam!

Scammy: forced to sign in with Google for the user data before even the first use; then immediately prompt to upgrade with suscription, revealing the paid nature of the extension.
Why promote this as free? It's 8.99 per month just to organize my stuff. NO ES GRATIS.
No free version to try out first? Straight to the paywall? I'll find another extension that does the same.
This magnaup uses scam advertising. Some other extension opens Magnaum page randomly and i can not find what exact extension does this. I hate developers for using such scam ad methods. I will tell more, when i will find what causes this scam page to open
asks to pay directly, lol, devs are dumb for this
NO LONGER HAS A FREE OPTION - On their website it literally says 'add to chrome for free' yet you cannot use the extension without either signing-up for a free trial or outright paying for it. Very deceptive marketing and all previous YT videos recommending this app were most likely created when this app was free/had a free option. I understand dev companies need revenue and I do not have an issue paying for software if I feel like it's worthwhile/will happily upgrade from a free plan to paid if I feel like there are features that are worth it, however marketing strategies like what manganum have used is very deceptive - and there is no free aspect of it at all; perhaps apart from just being able to install it and be directed to the payment page...
I would love to try it. But A HORRIBLE MARKETING STRATEGY. Not one pricing mention on their website. Installed the extensive and BAM! $20 a month with a a 7 day trial. I am fine paying for tools. I am not fine with deceptive marketing.
Don't waste your time. They completely hide the fact you need to pay until you sign in so they can take your info and sell it...
can't even try the app without subscribing first
Impossible to uninstall. From time to time it reminds about itself
Payed addon. *** YOU CANNOT USE THE ADDON WITHOUT PAYING*** Really shady tactic to not mention that it's not free! Oh, removing the addon sends you to a Google form that REQUIRES you to fill out your email. Stay away from this developer.
should have mentioned its paid from the get go
DO NOT USE THIS EXTENSION. Wish I could leave zero stars. Utilizes other extensions to force open a web page in some strange attempt at advertisement, clearly not understanding that this tactic leaves most potential users with a very severe negative first impression of the product. Furthermore it is a rather lackluster attempt to create a utilizable sidebar, similiar to the one provided in OperaGX. The major issue there is that this requires significantly more of your information than other alternatives, and performs worse as well.
Forces you into a 7-day trial before you can use it. No thanks!
No choice but to sign up and yearly payment upfront. B.S
Not FREE whats so ever takes you to the site to pay. Trash
Save yourself the time - it's not free - it's clickbait.
Useless
I guess it's not free anymore : (
Want to know a quick way of getting me to hate your product? PUSH MARKETING! Stop it.
Damned tired of this frigging advertisement showing up for no reason I can see. Stop the damn push marketing!
'Youtube auto pause blocker' forces their ads to appear, which says this thing is "free". You add it to chrome and it takes over your homepage with an ad for their subscription service that you have to pay to use. This is 100% illegal false advertising, and obviously malware. If they are willing to execute this initial shady practice you can bet they steal and sell your data. They need to be investigated.
I was incredibly put off by the fact that NOTHING in the chrome web store description or images of the extension indicates that there is only a 7 day free trial and that you have to pay to use it. Because it says on the website "Add to chrome for free" on their website, I had assumed that there was some free functionality and a paid premium version, but nope, you have to pay $8 a month. Yes, you can download it for free.... but you literally cannot use it at all if you don't put in your credit card information. I was really excited to use it and connect with Todoist, but there is no way I'm going to pay $8 a month (which is the DISCOUNT PRICE if you agree to pay for two years upfront btw, the "full price" is $20... ABSURD price for a chrome extension lmao) for that when I can just.. switch tabs or put two chrome windows next to each other. In a response to another review, they've written "we try to be as transparent as possible about the free trial and costs" which is absolute nonsense because there is not a single indication on the manganum website or on the chrome web store that tells you it's a paid-only service. In another response, they say "we want only those users who are potentially ready to become subscribers to have access to the trial version" which is absolutely just code for "we want to trick as many people into paying for our product as possible" lol. like you can charge whatever you want, but you shouldn't waste people's time and lie by omission about if your product is paid or not. Also, $8 is a ridiculous price. A very similar extension, Momentum, has a premium version that costs $3 a month AND they have a free version and I find it hilarious that you're expecting me to believe that it somehow your product requires more upkeep costs than momentum which has thousands of free users and only costs $3. Yeah sure, you don't advertise it as a free product, but you also purposefully hide the fact that you have to pay to use it after a trial period until the user has wasted their time downloading the extension. The app seems like it would work great so I'll give it one star for potential, but the developer's greed here is incredibly disappointing. Call me crazy, but I don't really feel like giving up my credit card information and trust to a company I can't even trust to be open about their pricing before you download the extension.
Don't say it's a free extension when it's not. I found this through a youtube video that said it is a completely free extension so wasted my time watching the demo then installing it only to find out I can't even try it without a credit card.
