Description

Link Map is a browser tab sidebar that is designed for heavy information consumers. With Link Map, even if you have a large number of tabs and windows, you can manage and classify them in a logical and clear way using the tree view structure, forming your own link collection. Github: https://github.com/GarinZ/link-map Feedback: https://github.com/GarinZ/link-map/issues Have you used Tabs Outliner before? Now you can import your data to Link Map and start a new journey. **What can Link Map do?** 🌲 Tree-shaped vertical tab sidebar, but with more levels: you can use drag-and-drop to quickly complete more tab operations πŸ’Ύ Close and save for later reading: clear your workspace and focus on current work, they will remain in the list πŸ”’ Backup/restore: backup and restore your data in a universal format (JSON) πŸ”§ Tabs Outliner import: supports importing data from Tabs Outliner We do need to operate more tabs and windows, but at the same time, we can also keep them organized. Install Link Map and start building your tag collection to make your information consumption more efficient.

Lost a whole window worth of tabs. Apparently when you click the X (NOT the trash icon) it doesn't register as closing a window. So you can't do Shift+Ctrl+W to reopen it, and if for some reason Link Map loses it, it's just lost. So I click the (X) because I want to restart, notice the window is just NOT THERE in Link Map, and there is no way to get it back. Again, this is not the trash button. There is no backups like Tab Outliner, so again, if it doesn't remember a window for some reason, it's just gone. Unacceptable.

Suddenly all my links just gone... disappear... The only thing holding was a Pending message... :/

The only Help available is the email address of the developer. When I sent some questions, the email bounced. I can only conclude that this extension, like so many others, is no longer maintained.

It's the closest to Tabs Outliner, however, it will only load 10% of my Tabs Outliner tree. The remaining 90% of my tabs/links are absent from the list after importing them. I have tried BrainTool (inconsistent keyboard shortcuts), TabFern (can only import its own native format), Session Buddy (can't import JSON larger than 1 MB), Workona (requires a login to a web site to use), and TK Tree Style (too clunky, forces Chrome to exit unexpectedly when pressing 'd' to delete the last node).

It doesn't seem connected to actual browser, in that, when I try to close a tab or a window from within the Link Map tree, it just greys out the link in the tree, but doesn't close the actual tab or window. Anyone know a fix for this? Otherwise seems like a perfect replacement for Tabs Outliner which no longer works. If they can fix this one glitch I will start using using it and pay for premium. (Also would be nice if they could allow importing from Tabs Outliner HTML file, since exporting as JSON from TO is no longer an option since the extension broke.)

I've been looking for an alternative to Tabs Outliner, since it seems to have been abandoned by the developer. Link Map appeared to be pretty comparable, but I have a constant problem where the tree seems to "disconnect" itself from my browser windows. I'll attempt to close a node from the Link Map window or sidebar, and nothing happens to the Chrome tab. I can double-click the node and it will open the same tab again, but trying to close the node just leaves the tabs open, and requires me to manually close the tab. Closing Link Map and re-opening seems to remedy the issue, so it is as if Chrome puts the extension to "sleep" after a while. Unfortunately this won't be able to replace Tabs Outliner for me until it is a little more stable/reliable in its behavior. Much appreciate any response from the developer.

This extension works great. It's fast and responsive. But I wish I just can go to the tab by single click the tab/node. Not by double clicking it.

Seems to constantly forget which tabs were loaded in which trees.

Very similar to Tabs Outliner, looks much better, but still needs a bunch of work. I see there's a paywall to get other features, which is fine, but it isn't a polished finished extension yet. Coming Soon sounds great in theory, so I guess we will see. It needs customizability. Also, the ability to have a flyout in addition to Side Panel. I know this can be done because the extension Bookmark Sidebar does it. I would definitely consider paying for a finished product with more features implemented.

tell me why choose you, but not tab outliner? but I suggest you make a firefox version, because firefox has no tab outliner.
