Do not install this app to record audio on your Chromebook! The audio recording feature was removed from the Soundcloud website at the end of 2017, making this app completely redundant and useless.

It says in the overview that it can record audio, but it cannot - at least not on chrome. When you search the website for how to record, it says you have to use a different program to record, and can then upload the recording. So - it does not behave as advertized.

All it does is link to the SoundCloud website. It doesn't really offer any useful features. They probably use it to collect data and sell it to big data.

I expected something that would allow to control the playback. All it does is opens up a web URL.

For an audio-only platform, it has terrible audio quality. 128kbps MP3 is outdated and development has not indicated any plans to improve it.

It's like a retarded bookmark that you access from chrome apps. It just opens the website and that's it.

What's the benefit of this "app"?

I was hoping this plugin was going to allow me to remote control my SoundCloud music, apparently all it does is link you to the SoundCloud website... A standard internet shortcut does that... will give 5* if actual useful functionality is added to the plugin!

They need to enable standalone desktop app abilities in this extension, it's very annoying having it open in a browser tab rather than a dedicated app.

It is just a link to the webpage. Why is this an app? I want the player, separate from the website; that's what I'd assume an app would do. I love Soundcloud, I love their website, but I don't want an app that is just a link to a website.
