I never installed this and it's live on my PC, super dodgy!

I had trouble trying to set it up for my usual workflow, which is connecting to my cloudtop. I recommend cider connector instead, worked out of the box.

useless.. does not connect. window crashes as soon as it opens.

This was my preferred SSH client, but it stopped working. :-(

Same as everyone. Stopped working after update. Hopefully it gets fixed soon... maybe relying on Alpha wasn't the right move...

It was great. A migration broken it. Can the developers at least enable the option to keep the old thing while the new one is unstable?

It's not good for anything. It's implementation looks bad. It's very hard to use with touchpad. I'll bet it cant even fetch anonymous ftp links. I hope things would crash if they got too big. Why would anyone choose this over something that really works?

It works, but the utter nuisance is that I can't make any google search starting with ssh. Whenever I type ssh in google, it goes to ssh mode. How do I turn this stupid "feature" off?

Doesn't work - Loading NaCl plug-in…

A significant downgrade from the classic "App" I have been using for years. It did not sync my existing profiles over and the settings to find and update your connections are hidden or maybe removed... I have not found them yet. Time to look for a different extension. sigh....

Does not work with Chromium on linux due to lack of NaCl (salt??) support.

When importing an identity, it does not proceed to import it, does anyone have an idea? :(

um so was loading it... ok? and then it says: closed with error code 255 and so i try to reconnectect and it just shows the same window... yea this is broken...

Why did this app become "deprecated" just to move to a different chrome store page url? Why was the app version removed? Very annoying.

A huge step backwards in convenience and usability for Chromebook users. Moving from the app to the extension has removed the ability to quickly open new SSH sessions, instead now requiring to go back to the browser not only to launch the first session (which would be annoying but tolerable) but for every new session as well, as the "new window' option on the tool bar just opens the options screen, as opposed to a selection of apps.

Absolutely despise the connection dialog. Once you're connected, everything works great, but connection management is awful.

I vastly prefer the App version. Since the app version has been crashing in Chrome I thought I'd give this a try. Overall it is essentially the same as the app version for Windows Desktops, but with one major deal breaker: foreground color settings are discarded as soon as the SSH connection is established, at least when you run the session in a new tab. I always run sessions in new Chrome tabs rather than separate windows, and having all of the text an ugly white color is not an option as I prefer when my eyes do not hurt.

I love it, but it plays sounds and creates notifications for every sound played. This is annoying. There is a section "Sounds" in Options. I have cleared the "Alert bell sound (URI)" field and unchecked the "Create desktop notifications for alert bells" checkbox. It does not care and keeps annoying me.

It worked typed "ssh <site>" in the commandline, but now it doesn't work, only 3 stars....

Version 0.60 stopped working for me. Installed the development version of Secure Shell from chrome web store (same name different icon) and version 0.60.8738.27253 of that is working.

the last update somehow broke it for me, putty works but this extension drops connections after a short time

Have used it for a couple of years, and been great. However since version 0.54 SFTP mount no longer works which reduces the usefulness of this plugin

As of version 0.54, SFTP mount no longer works. For me, that was the best thing about this extension.

The file ~/.ssh/known_hosts is empty. But I've got connected hosts. Is it a bug? Also, use the SSH agent for Google Chrome extension.

Since last version (31 march) the tmux prefix (CTRL+b) does not works anymore.

It's sort of good. I like the fact that you can mount a remote connection for SFTP using the Files app on ChromeOS, HOWEVER whenever I use this to transfer files to the server, instead of overwriting existing files, it makes a copy of each file. It also will not refresh the contents of the remote folder following a transfer. So far as I can tell, the only way to do a file transfer like this is to first delete the remote files and then copy the new ones over.

this works fine on my chromebook, but not on my chrometab (Asus ct100): it seems to ignore the onscreen keyboard completely.

It was working just fine until today. Now I'm getting the error message "NaCl plugin exited with status code 255". I checked with putty and the connected to the servers are ok. I deleted and reinstalled the same issue. What has changed?

chrome's middle-click autoscroll is the devil! It is the only thing I don't like but it really ruins the native shell-like experience which is the whole point :( I have to remember to click twice whenever I paste with the middle-click, once to paste and a 2nd to cancel the autoscroll otherwise whoosh! maybe someday google will allow that setting to be disabled?

Thanks for this extension. But can you make the Shell window able to become one tab of chrome instead of an individual window ? It's not so convinient to switching from the Shell window to chrom window.

When deleting connection, also delete the ECDSA key in list of known hosts.

Works as expected. It's a shell. ssh into a machine ran a few commands etc. The security questions raised with middle men would be my biggest concern. I have at least half a dozen local to choose from. We are a funny lot. Maybe I'm missing the point.
