Group Speed Dial

Injects affiliate links into copied text. After installing this extension, copying text from web pages silently appended advertising/affiliate URLs to my clipboard. This behavior stopped immediately after removing the extension. This is not disclosed clearly and is unacceptable for a start page / speed dial tool. Users should be aware.

Why in heavens name is this extension writing to my c:\program files sub-directory everytime its used either in chrome, vivaldi, or brave ??? NOT COOL ! Here is just one folder example, along with the other 400 PLUS folders it created. I'm glad I caught this before it grew to a serious monster size for sure. Example; Folder Names = chorme_url_fetcher_6654_778866444. Basically everytime you click on a speed dial thats been created this is automatically being created on its own. You need to re-vamp this. Clouding up someones hard drive with empty folders or not, is in no way acceptable, especially without permissions period ! Sad, this had potential for sure. But I will be removing it .

Why developers still think using Ctrl+Alt for shortcuts is a good idea. AltGr (Ctrl+Alt) is used on Polish systems to input diacritics! The options menu hotkey Ctrl+Alt+O clashes with input for ó on Polish keyboard layout. And there is no way to disable it! Are you serious? I was using it for some time now, but not anymore since it makes my experience unusable.

I've seen your update status on Github, maybe you could "limtied new extension version on newer chrome version". (e.g. group speed dial 27.0 only applied on chrome 120+) Chrome always wants to auto update chrome itself and extension for security reason. I have tried lots of trick (e.g. edit dns host ip, windows regedit...) to stop extension auto update but failed. Finally, I install old version of chrome to avoid update some other extension but still hit black screen of group speed dial, sad...

I was excited about finding an alternative to FVD Speed Dial. However, I'm going in circles trying to create an account. I've gone through the process several times. The first time, I got a message saying that my account already exists. So I try to change my password. Each time that I input a new password, I'm told, after trying to sign in with it, that I have invalid credentials. I don't see a way past this problem. There's no way to get in touch with the developer.

Genius, why not to sync dials with local bookmarks like always been?

Just freezes when importing all favourites and most visited pages.

There are a lot of better free alternatives.

I used this extension in Vivaldi. In the last few days, the extension stopped working properly. After opening a new tab, an error with chrome (with a bird) appears. You have to click "refresh" 4/5 times, only then the extension appears. Reinstalling the extension did not help. Unfortunately, I'm afraid I'll have to change the extension.

Eating memory! Starting up Chrome, it was closed within few seconds. I was looking system informations then I saw Chrome eat memory at start time. When I disabled this plugin the problem disappeared.

Worked great for years, now nothing (except for "Uncaught TypeError: Promise.withResolvers is not a function".) Everything's gone. I'm not tech-savvy in a lot of ways, so I doubt I can fix this. I think I need to remove this extension, find an alternative in the Chrome store and set up every single dial all over again. Edit: Thanks very much, Juraj. Everything's back to as it should be.

Would be 5 star but i can't seem to make it sync anywhere, i'm a Patreon guy...i wonder if there is somewhere to reach you thru email...and clear up a few things...i'm an advanced guy on PC but seem to be missing a few screws on you re apps lol...you surely can help me...ONE THING THAT IS AMAZING IS IT USES WAY LESS RESSOURCES THAN ANY OTHER SPEED DIAL I HAVE TRIED

I can't use this add-on. It wastes too much bandwidth. It reloads speed dial pictures every time it runs. It was supposed to be fast but I would call it painfully slow because reloading from internet instead of using hard drive is slow. There's no reason to reload/update picture million times. It might be OK if you're using it with cable internet connection but on mobile metered connection it's nightmare. // edit 19.03.24: I use "Custom thumbnail from URL" option. Best way to troubleshoot is to disable network. No network = no pictures. To be more precise I meant when I restart browser but I also have seen some issue when opening new tab and most speed dials loaded as they should but speed dial pointing to http://192.168.0.1/ with custom picture from internet didn't show any picture at all. I don't think it's browser settings as I've used FVD for many years and they load correctly from disk.

How can I hide the "Home" button from New Tab page? When I accidentally mouseover on this, it expands "Log in/Create Account" & "Upgrade to Pro" buttons over the upper-right tab. It frustrates me so much. Thank you.

bookmark and thumbnail won't sync with other computers.

I have Chrome 87 and "Group speed dial"" is set as the welcome tabs (2 tabs) on starting chrome. But sometimes (1 time / 3-4) chrome starts and no dials are displayed in the welcome tabs: the tabs are here but empty with only the tabs background. To exit this situation, i need to press the refresh button for each tab in chrome to see the dials being displayed. Could you check and fix this? Thanks. Patrice.

Firefox version rocks, Chrome not so much. Wee bit glitchy.

Using this extension in both Firefox and Chrome. In Firefox the performance is much better. Imported the dials/settings from Firefox into Chrome and... In chrome, generation of thumbnails is slow and often fails (white dials), manual refresh gives wrong size. In both browsers fails. UPDATE: In Chrome browser I clicked `create all thumbnails´, went away for an hour or so and when I came back, nothing had happened.

I really love the look and feel about it, but the dials are not auto refreshing.why not?. I have to refresh each dial manually to refresh them. I can't see any options to make them refresh automatically after a few minutes. hope this gets fixed soon.
