Description

When you select text, the translation button pops up and the translation is displayed instantly. If you enable "Do not display the button if translation is not required" option, you will not get frustrated by the button appearing when it is not necessary. In the toolbar popup, translate the input text in real time. If you enable "Automatically switch to the second language" option, you can do : When English is input, it is translated into Japanese, and when Japanese is input, it is translated into English. You can also translate from the context menu. You can select "Translate this page", "Translate selected text", and "Translate selected link" from the menu on the page or tab. Supports Google Translate and DeepL API. Another invention of the bicycle, another discovery of America. Extension does NOT translate the selected word. Extension does NOT translate the highlighted sentence. Extension does NOT translate the page correctly - instead of translating the text on the original page, the extension duplicates the page, opens it in a new window, and translates the text location WITHOUT saving it, meaning the text is greatly shifted in height and horizontally.

It was great but now doesn't work, showing this error: Error: Service usage limit reached. Please wait a while and try again. Open in Google Translate

This used to be an excellent extension, but recently it has become an extremely annoying, obnoxious piece of spyware. It opens an extra tab Every Time I Open My Browser and Demands Money/"donations". Scuh-rooo you!

Very bad. Every day I get many errors like this: "Error: Service usage limit reached. Please wait a moment and try again." ... I use this plugin to translate comments on Reddit because my English is not very good. But this extension often makes this mistake. Dear Simple Translate developers, there is nothing you need to do during the translation process! Google does all the translation thing. Google's servers are running. Why do you always stop me from translating! Why do your extension get many errors in a day! I'm bored! I'm deleting.

I have been using this extension with the Google Translate API selected. Recently, I noticed that its translations were poor. When I compared its translations to the original Google Translate, I found that the original extension performs well, while this one does not.

It works great on some sites, but on others, it just doesn't show up. Super annoying!

So so close to being a good add-on it's just I would like "Translate selected text" to be an immediate available option on the context menu, without that extra step of having to hover over "Simple Translate" first. p.s. this is already available on Firefox with the "Translate Web Pages" add-on.

If it would not select the text while i hover over it I would give it 5 stars. This 'feature' destroys my experience.

I used it very much. However, it has been failing very frequently recently. So I had to remove it now. Error Message... "Error: Service usage limit has been reached. Please wait a bit and try again."

I would give 5 stars if it was free

While it's really fast, the translation quality becomes poor, and the longer the paragraph, the poorer the quality. [Tried English -> Arabic]

Worked with Google Translate, but failed on DeepL. Google Translate is still being used even if DeepL API is selected and key is provided.

I LOVED IT UNTIL IT STOPPED WORKING I used this extension a lot on my job and it was so super easy to use, yet after several days it stopped working ,console shows some strange denies in API usage, :"Access to XMLHttpRequest at 'https://translate.googleapis.com/translate_a/single?client=gtx&sl=auto&tl=en&dt=t&dt=bd&dj=1&q=deingresar' from origin 'https://my.livechatinc.com' has been blocked by CORS policy: No 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin' header is present on the requested resource." "Failed to load resource: net::ERR_FAILED" Any idea? Another Google Translate API app stopped working as well, and I don't know why, when Google Translate (website) works just fine. PLEASE FIX ASAP

There is a lack on productivity on the Chrome version, because of "Translate Website" Option on the contextual menu (right click). I love this app, but only on firefox, because you select a text and there is only one option: "translate selected text". But here on chrome you have to put the mouse on "Simple Translate" and wait for "Translate selected text" option to appear. It's annoying to wait the option to appear, just because there is another option called: "Translate Website", which always appear when you right click without selecting text. You might say, "there is a pop up button to translate directly" yes, but it firstly: it doesn't appear in old the websites, and secondly, it is less disturbing if it's on the context menu instead of the button. I might sound picky. But I speak Spanish and I read in English a lot on social media, so I constantly use this app. But while Migrating from firefox to Chrome I found this issue. So, it could be better if when you select a text, you display on the contextual menu just "Translate selected Text" and not "Simple Translate". Or better yet: create an option called "What to appear on Contextual menu" or something like that. It also could be great if you allow to put more keyboard shorcuts.
