Chrome Connectivity Diagnostics

download and you'd expect something to happen. absolutely nothing at all. was recommended by someone at Chromebook support. i'm not surprised nothing happened. like most wifi connectivity problems with a Chromebook the standard response is to blame something else. the person who recommended this was very adamant that the issues lie with the router. hopefully one day what appears to be a pretty large problem w Chromebooks...disconnect from internet, any wifi, any router, any connection while it's only the chromebook that disconnects. yeah right, chromebook is the only thing to disconnect from many networks, many routers, many hotspots but it's the other network, other router or other hotspot and this nothing of an app was to help with a problem that is really chromebook enthusiasts don't want to admit that the problem lies w the chromebook.

I downloaded it and nothing happened. How do I launch the diagnostic?

I, WITH a computer tech, my best friend, could NOT find out, THRU this diagnostics, WHY my laptop would not connect to a certain Coffee Bean's wifI in L.A. BUT had NO PROBS (thus, not my device) up the street at a Starvbux, no matter WHAT he tried to do. And, AND, all around me, months, 7 years at SAME venue, no one else was having ANY probs ! I was each day eventually able to log on there, but was sick of umpteen attempts to when we went to THIS diagnostics..........failure. Go figure !!

OK. Evcery time i start this app it crashes. Everything up to date. Acer CP514-1H, Ryzen 5, AMD Raden Graphics, 8MBs.

Terrible app. Works when I'm connected by ethernet, obviously, but it doesn't tell me whats wrong with my wireless connection. Just tells me I'm not connected to the network. I don't need an app to tell me that.

Useless. Makes up results.

Totally dishonest. If I physically unplug my router is says the DNS is down but internet is still connected. Sometimes when the router crashes it accuses my network of being a captive Portal which it blatantly isn't. It just makes up garbage for people who want to pretent to fix their internet until it comes back naturally.

it took 5 minutes to launch from chrome os & gave a passing test grade ? most apps go in 2 seconds this thing could not be more phony & a waste of time

My Maxthon never fully opens it just sits busy and the weather app never loads, I added your app to fix it, it showed everything is working properly, that was evidently a lie, I was using the Linux stable version then switched to the beta version and get the same exact result, it's bad enough maxthon is too lazy to fix their own browser but now even the tools to fix it does not work.

This tool works, but installed links on my desktop and on the taskbar without my consent.

What's the point in this when it doesn't diagnose nor log what caused a Chromebook to abruptly lose WiFi connectivity? Useless.

it gets to 90% and just hangs.... test does not get completed.

This tool tells me "oh, everything is just fine on your system", including that it can connect to my gateway. Which is funny, because the reason I even used the tool was because ChromeOS Diagnostics was telling me it *can't* connect to my gateway. Seems Google can't figure out a straight answer even between two of their OWN applications. This utility is about as useless as Google themselves.

Everything with the test came up alright, but the issue -very slow loading youtube videos- persists.

Diagnosis OK BUT I have frequent signal dropping and it did not help with that. IF FACT, NO ONE AR GOOGLE SEEMS TO WANT TO HELP.

. Had to go to this app's Chrome Store blurb to launch it. Have found no way to otherwise use it normally in Chrome. . The DataRat .

It'd be even better if some tips on how to possibly fix a problem were included.

Seems to work well, but it would be 5 stars if it was a browser extension instead of an app so it didn't require a login. We want to use it to help troubleshoot our customer's computers, but we can't install programs on them.

somehow it messes up chrome on chromebook. when this app is running, chrome restarts randomly. app uninstalled, problem goes away. app re-installed, it comes back, so there's a clear and reproducible bug here (samsung 550)
