Duplicate File Finder, Cleaner for Drive

can't uninstall it - I know it is on there but not sure how to get it out

USEless. I disabled all extensions and ad blockers and it still would not work.

I really wanted to like this, but they don't make it easy! If you get an error message, you're basically stuck. Unless of course someone out there posted about their own experience, and how they may have solved the issue. The interface is basic, which is fine, but they provide NO information on how to proceed if anything doesn't work. After making sure all my settings were correct (re cookies, blocking, etc), i kept getting "login failed" even though I was already logged into Drive? After about ten rounds of this, I completely uninstalled, and reinstalled. This took care of the login error, but replaced it with "The API developer key is invalid". I've already wasted so much time on this, and haven't even been able to see if it actually works. Huge disappointment.

Just said "Login Failed!" and didn't work.

It finds duplicate files, but doesn't clean. I tried two times, this extension doesn't clean duplicate files.

Does not work, complains about adblock that is not installed. Also no clear way to unlink/remove permissions

Even cannot connect the extension to my Google drive.

This doesn't appear to do anything. There's no instructions, and no evidence of it's existence when you install it as an extension. It feels very much like a malicious program. I am doing everything I can to try and find where it is at, now, and get rid of it.

I've disable AdBlock, but it still tells me to enable it.

Tried to force me to install MULTIPLE other irrelevant apps. NO WAY.

Forced to open Google+ Acct to review this because there's not even a "Help" link on the webpage. App is lousy waste of time.

It always says please remove adblock free. I do not have ad block free and I went into settings and turned the chrome ad block off also. Please help.

I run entire scan twice, wait more than an hour each time, no results. Even the "cancel" button does not work. I completely believe that it's a fake and the users give the app to modify Drive files. Data breach?

Doesn't authenticate get an error from google. Sign in with Google temporarily disabled for this app This app has not been verified yet by Google in order to use Google Sign In. Not to mention not even any contact details, doesn't inspire me with any confidence.

It is not a secure site. My Google Chrome browser wouldn't even let me open it and sent me back to safety.

How to install this? Just have a green "visit website" button top right that does not function

apparenly this is a third party app with high-risk access to your account data. my phone started doing all kinds of crazy stuff randomly and all by itself. so i did a security check up on my account and this was the only thing to pop up as a risk. so goodbye

Found duplicates but failed to trash them, citing "insufficient permissions". Therefore, useless.

Installed it a few minutes ago. Started it up and all I see is adds. Doesn't seem to scan anything. Uninstalling it.

WTF is this? Scans whole drive finds dupes and gives me this error message: User rate limit exceeded

Update: 4 Star rating is no more... I just tried running it again & while it's worked in the past, now it's not and isn't detecting any duplicate photos OR large photos, which I know there are TONS. SO frustrating since there's literally NO way to remove duplicates from Google Photos without having them on your computer and scanning the directory that way. COME ON GOOGLE. It's the only solution I've been able to find to rid my Google Photos of all of it's duplicate files. It's not pretty and you'll want to review the files, but it consistently clears a large amount of space from my drive due to duplicates.

You have to disable any add blocker you may have before you can use it! No thanks!

Too complicated. Does not seem to find duplicates in the chosen folder, Looks through the whole drive.

Easy to use, but a) it sometimes calls different files the same which is scary since i have a lot of similar but important files and b) it doesn't have an option to mass deselect or select files in certain folders, which you want because you don't want files to be scattered throughout different folders and be mixed in, which means that you have to merge folders with any overlap into one folder before you use this

The algorithm isn't great. There were a bunch of files that it claimed were duplicates because they had the same size when you could see by the file name that they were totally different files. What kind of duplicate checker doesn't check the file name? If I have to go through and check manually which files I want deleted, then it defeats the entire purpose.

Bit of a struggle to load, then it seemed to work and gave me loads of dupes, but the next options are:- 1 Trash All 2. Check All 3. Check All (except 1st) 4. UnCheck All When I figured out that the 2nd one is the one I want - to check all the dupes not the originals, it is then totally unclear what to do. If I click Trash All , does that delete all the files?? I want to keep one version, which is obviously the entire reason for using this App ?!?

I'm not sure why I can't authorize this app to sweep my drive!

Great potential but it only finds duplicates by file size. Hundreds of my Google photos are appearing as duplicates when they are not. Even file name is different but if size is same yet picture different it thinks the file is duplicated.

It seems to find all the dumplicates but my choices are limited to delete all, check all (but then what) or check all but first My problem is that I can find no button to delete the files I have checked. So I spend a chunk of time checking all the files I want to delete - obviously I only want to delete duplicates not every file AND its duplicates keeping the files I want in the directories I want and then there is no way to delete the files I checked. I am tempted to delete all after I have checked the ones I want to delete, but afraid it will do exaactly what it says it will do, delete ALL. How to delete anything that is not ALL? If I could figure out how to do this I could deal with the advertising and clunky front end.

I added this to Chrome, and I liked what it did for may files... BUT now everytime I add a file to my drive from my email, it takes me to your home page. I want it to take me to my DRIVE with the document I've added from my email selected. I don't like that this has changed. I don't recall giving this app permission to do this?! I've uninstalled the app to no avail. Please help.

Checks size but not the file name

Identified as duplicate files that were the same size but different file names. Matching on size is not enough with JPG. After I spent considerable time correcting the errors the program doesn't delete the duplicates. I think I must have had more duplicates than the program could handle. Be very careful as you could delete files that are not duplicates. Works better if you let program find potential duplicates and you click on the Trash before the file name to delete individual files.
