Hulu Ad Skipper | Ad Blocker [QVI]

Used to love this extension but it's been very hit or miss lately. Today, shows have been constantly stopping and displaying an error screen despite refreshing and clearing caches. Ads are also being played at normal speed instead of being sped up like usual.

doesn't work just freezes

can t figure out why its not ff through adds. it did ok yesterday but today i tried 911 nashville and grays anatomy had to watch adds. please help i even tried trouble shooting.

It does not work for me. Just continuously says skipping ads while the entire ad break plays behind it

After downloading this extension everything was working fine and then all of a sudden it just stopped working, whole screen is black and the episode wont load now.

all of hulu is now just a black screen. edit 2: only the one episode I was trying to watch when installing this extension is black screen, even after clearing and restarting everything. The rest of hulu works fine. Not worried about it. Won't be trying again tho

unfortunately this one didnt work for me, heres what happened: (i used this one only and had no other adblockers going on at same time) when I would play a show, i tried this on spyxfamily, the episode wouldn't load. Instead, it was stuck on the loading screen (all black with a white loading bar in middle) until after awhile it had an error page saying it couldn't load/play the episode. this didn't happen with other adblockers that I've tried

Doesn't work. Ads still play on Hulu for me.

Not only does not work, it somehow has blocked Hulu from loading at all, even after removing the extension.

used to work great, now is broken completely. I am sure the developer is working on fixing the issues and restoring the extension but until it gets fixed its one star.

Update: Still doesn't work. It just mutes the sound of the Ad and shows "Skipping Ads" message on the screen. Works off and on. I had to disable it to view the video.

hasn't worked recently. it freezes and i have to refresh the tab. i get stuck in a loop and the video never plays

Idk what happened. The extension worked well for a long time but idk if they updated it or Chrome updated or even Hulu itself, but now this extension is practically dead. I noticed over the last few weeks that whatever I was watching would freeze when it was time for ads to play, and I would have to refresh the page. And you know, Hulu has an insane number of ads, more than any other streamer at this point, so you can imagine how often I was refreshing. But in the last two days though, the extension makes your shows practically unwatchable. On top of freezing and forcing you to refresh, sometimes you have to completely exit your shows and reopen Hulu several times-- the same amount of time wasted if you had just sat and watched the ads. Other times, the show would "skip" or fast forward through certain parts of the show/movie I guess suspecting an ad break but then it lets the ads play in entirety on mute. I hope they find a fix soon because this is rouuuugggghhhhhhhh. Practically ended my binge because it was exhausting.

Works 20% of the time. Freezes 80% of the time. So I gave 20% of the rating.

For some reason it stopped working? I'm currently watching house and its not skipping...

Not working. On Hulu trying to watch House, and being greeted with ads.

Doesn't work, tried it today for the first time and was immediately greeted by ads. Tried uBlock Origin and worked like a charm!

Doesnt work at all. It just pauses the ad at the end and doesnt continue the show. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling over and over and it doesnt fix it. Only worked on the first day then just makes all your shows unwatchable.

completely stopped working around mid november. nothing plays anymore. just freezes at the beginning during whatever show you watch when it shows who youre watching. please fix. thats the path. nothing else to make it manifest or whatever.

Awful. the user interface is completely pathetic. there is another extension called just "Hulu Skipper", and it blows this out of the water. The fact that this has way more users is sad. Creator should put effort into their work. You'd think they made in 2006 or as school project but no this is literally someone trying.

Extension is currently not working anymore. Google chrome is identifying it as an adblocker. I have everything else disabled.

Not currently working. Hulu detects the adblocker and gives you a message telling you to enable ads.

Unfortunately, this does not work at all.

used to work, nowadays it only removes audio from ads but doesnt speed them up. sad. i assume this is because of some anti speed feature hulu implemented to counteract this plug in or something, where they constantly set the playback speed to 1, but i could be wrong. idk if you can fix this but if you can, please do

I know that obviously its modifiiying hulu but even after i removed it reloaded the page ant stuff it still said "conection is not secure and attackers can see tuff ur viewing and blah blah blah but how do i completely remove it?

Didn't work at all. Tried watching workaholics, always sunny, and other on demand shows and tried a movie, Didn't work on anything.

No longer works. Removed extension, restarted chrome. Reinstalled extension, restarted Chrome - does not work. Multiple screen refreshes - still does not work.

As of today (10/06/2022), Hulu ad skipper no longer working. It causes a Hulu website error. It plays the ads in fast forward for 6 seconds, and then throws a Hulu error.

Doesn't work for me. When an ad pops up, it says (in summary) "turn of ad blocker." Then maybe it will play past it without an ad about 10 seconds later, but at that point, I might as well watch the ad! Then another time, the ad played! I felt so offended lowkey. I guess Hulu got smart because I used to breeze through ads like I pay for the ad free subscription.
