Google Wallpaper Art

It would be a great benefit to my life if the execution wasn't so tragically poor. With the amount of art in the public domain, there is no reason for it ever to have to repeat, but it does. It is supposed to change automatically every day, (it claims), but it doesn't. A painting may stay for months if you don't just change it manually. Since the most recent update, it no longer gives you the basic information about the painting. The former info box, when you click on the icon, is blank.This is a typical half assed Google product. They have a great idea, the best intentions, and then, with most of the money in the world that hasn't been vacuumed up by Amazon, they apparently don't fund, or staff, or remember it. Much like Google Podcasts, Amazon Prime Video, and other apps that aren't even compatible or available with chromebooks, the disconnect between your phone and computer is staggering. How can such a huge, wealthy, innovative corporation fail so spectacularly with projects that have so much potential? Their course is littered with abandoned ideas, apps, utilities, programs that could have been leaders in their fields, but just didn't get any support. Need I mention the many chat and calling apps that were semi-duplicates until they were abandoned or proliferated so often that no one could keep track of them? I try to like Google because of the good things it does; I have an Android phone, a Chromebook, and a Chromecast. My music is all in Google Play. But it's so difficult, because of the apparent casual dysfunction of this hugely powerful corporation. Can I really trust it? At least with Apple you know exactly how little they care about their customers as long as they can squeeze the money out of them. But Google poses as though it cares about us. Do better, Alphabet, goddamn it!

it wont let me uninstall

Enjoyed this app for a long time but it appears to have become nonfunctional recently. Perhaps another denizen of the Google Graveyard?

Too narrow a selection of art. Doesn't switch daily. Not what I was looking for at all, but thanks.

it keeps changing my backround to weird pics when i set my backround to a polar bear...it changes by its self and i hate it

you should give us a way to uninstall.

its too old fashion and i cant get it off. i go to the chorme web store and then to apps or exstention but there is no trash icon or delete opions. these is not my kind of art

No longer working, just a blank box when I open the App

Today it doesn't work automatically and hasn't for months. Manually changing wallpaper works but often times layers overlap. Very poor on Googles part.

The thing doesn't change every day like it says. I have to do it manually which sort of takes away from the "surprise" aspect of it.

Same problem: I have to manually change the wallpaper. Is there some magic to getting the app to change the wallpaper daily?

I have to manually select the next wallpaper to trigger it to change. The next day, it returns to the wallpaper that never changes. A pity, because it could have been a great way to appreciate art. It's too buggy to work.

its was okay.. i wanted to input my own wallpaper for it to change randomly but ... yea... do i *tried* to remove from my device, but i dont even knoe how! it doesnt say "remove from chrome" like it usually does. Is it because this is more of a app than a chrome application?

Just not my type of art. Also did not appreciate that I have to uninstall to disable.

The art is great, but it does change automatically each day as advertised. Bummer dude. FYI...using v1.3.

Like the photos, don't like the app - does not work as claimed/simply won't change daily, or at all, unless you go in and force it manually, which is also a project.
