Used Torguard for years, think its time to move one. This update just doesn't work now.
Terrible upgrade. Old version worked on multiple devices but 3.0 fails. Says connected but you cannot browse any site. Switch to US based connections and a login window appears which never happened before. At this time no country connection works except US ones that I have to manually login to even though I already saved my credentials in the extension. Been using this paid for extension for years and I think it's time to request a refund or dispute with my credit card company and find a new provider. Supports fix: uninstall the extension, delete cache and cookies, reinstall extension. A good app doesn't require this every day to make it work.
Keeps throw failed login, even though the same credentials work on there desktop app.
Extremely slow these days. Used to be okay but has gotten progressively worse to the point that videos wont buffer. Consistently gets flagged by cloudflare and other annoying anti bot sites. Unrelated to the extension, the socks5 proxies that torguard provides have also stopped working and the service is overall garbage now. I will no longer be renewing my subscription.
breaks a lot
Caused the browser to freeze, repeatedly. Had to uninstall to restore functionality. Their Support seemed unconcerned about fixing it. Worse than useless.
When it works it works, but most of time you have to play the game of whac a mole with re connect, re install, login and location roulette. If it connects you have to check using 3rd party tools if it's tripping out or not. That 50% discount is not worth your sanity.
It doesn't work. I keep getting the message "login failed" and I have logged in and needs a lot of effort to get connect to a server. So, I give this up until next update if there is going to be any!
👎 Hard to use. Hard to understand. Must pay to try it.
Doesn't work on SSL in any location
This extension used to work great but lately, every singe location I connect too seems to play a game of IP Roulette. Every couple of minutes, the VPN Extension will change my IP address and it breaks every site that's open on my browser. Is this a bug? Its ANNOYING and it needs to be resolved.
The Windows app works great for me, but this chrome extension just says 'login failed'. I'd not recommend TorGuard if you want it for the Chrome extension.
fails to log in too many times, slowed me waaay down.
Despite using the correct credentials, this chrome extension has not worked for me once. I used to use the old TorGuard extension, which worked perfectly about 9-12 months ago. I am not sure what they changed in newer versions, but this app has not worked for quite a bit. For all intents and purposes, you are better off using the regular TorGuard VPN executable.
It doesn't work. Just says logging in, never is able to login to my TorGuard proxy account (and I've double checked the creds). Also, it seems to be always on / enabled for all sites when enabled in the extension manager. E.g. there is no way to turn on and off from the icon. Totally useless.
I don't know if this is because I'm at work, but the extension totally blocked me out of the internet. Whenever I try to connect to any website it shows my internet connection is unavailable. It also shows a "Need to sign-in" after the first time. Unless I totally "Disable" the extension in Chrome on my work computer my internet doesn't work.
As of v2.4, with the proxy _OFF_, wreaks havoc when trying to access corporate outlook via web interface (401 error). When trying to log into a Netgear router, throws you to the password recovery page. Disabling the extension fixes both issues. Very strange.
i get signed out every 10 minutes , and everytime i get login failed error , sometimes get disconnected repeatedly , and in every tab there is a different situation , fix it please
warning this is a payed only subscription. NOT FREE. they dont tell u that
It says that my ip adress is unknown and does not want to connect
This addon was really great, now it asks for authentication whenever I'm using incognito mode, I've tried to reinstall and nothing changes. It seems to be a chrome related problem as others similar addon (NordVPN) are/were having the same problem. Please fix it!
proxies constantly need to be changed, and gets stuck in a loop of login failed
The extension is very unresponsive and it's very hard to understand whether it's connecting or logging in or already connected or if there is an error. The country dropdown doesn't work for about 10 seconds after entering credentials and there's no indication why.
Too hard to connect and doesn't save username and password when changing ports, no wireguard mode is very annoying.
this new update dont allow you to scroll down to different countries. Now am unable to select the country IP i want. Its stucked at Greece and cant scroll below that! please fix this ASAP
As of Jan 13 2021, the TorGuard VPN Extension is not working anymore with Chrome 87. Please, someone from TorGuard update your extension.
Unfortunately does not support TLS 1.3
On basics an excellent idea and I use it once/twice weekly. I can't have my whole PC run through a VPN as some things cease to operate, to have only my browser shielded, as needed, is great. Updated 3(?) months ago and works far better now than it did, still Cons - sign in can be problematic, sometimes the option/drop down simply not there. Sometimes it "forgets" that you are using it - there is no "disconnect" option. No save fav location that I can see. 3 star as it is as not 100% reliable, if fully functional would be 5 star.
