Cannot subcribe for upgrade, could you please help me?
I asked one thing of this extension - to send an email later. Not only did it fail to do this, it deleted the original email and failed silently. This extension was worse than nothing because it promised to do something it could not do.
I'm on the paid plan and I can't setup scheduled messages as of today, repeatedly gives 504 error when trying to connect to scheduled messages login. Help.
Weird backwards date format is very confusing. Developers refuse to consider fixing. Better to find another solution :-(
I purchased Boomerang for gmail for their advertised price of $59.76 per year however my credit card was charged $91.87 I live in Australia but was charged in US dollars. When I pointed out that their pricing doesn't mention USD, and asked to be charged the advertised price, Jeff from Boomerang sent me a rude email and cancelled my subscription without my permission. Surely a global tech company should be able to get something as simple as pricing right, for the 180+ countries that don't use USD as their currency. Boomerang might be a good product but it won't be around for long with customer service like this
not working email traking
When I installed this extension and signed up for Boomerang, nowhere did it mention that it was a free trial. Then later I got an email from Boomerang saying my trial is going to end soon: "After the trial ends, all of your Boomerangs and Send Laters will be delivered as scheduled. However, your Recurring Messages will be canceled." The whole reason I got Boomerang is for the recurring messages feature. Very deceptive of Boomerang. Waste of my time.
I thought that this extension would be a good solution to auto send email to Mediacom every 60 days requesting to be put on their opt-out list. That internet provider refuses to stop sending me adverts to my apartment mailbox, so I am required to contact them every so often to be put on their temporary opt-out list. Anyway, this extension seemed like it would help me send those requests to Mediacom, but it stopped working after around a month (with no warning) and then I learned that it is a paid subscription service and I was only on a trial. I'm annoyed because it doesn't say in clear writing on the exension page "THIS EXTENSION REQUIRES A PAID SUBSCRIPTION". If I had known that, I WOULDN'T HAVE WASTED MY TIME installing the application and figuring out how to set it up.
I requires to pay for a subscription
Simply can't use an extenstion that requires admin over my email with the abitlity to read, write AND DELETE all my email. A great concept, just needs to move their product from Boomerang-centered to Customer-centered. No (good) reason all this visibility/authority need be handed over to the Boomerang Cloud server to do with what they wish. Will uninstall as soon as done with this review.
Cancelled my recurring scheduled email without warning at the end of my free trial, meaning that an important email was left unsent.
Uses evil / dark design UI patterns, aimed at fooling people and undoing the decades of helpful intuition design that went into the UI patterns they are abusing to trick people into using their software. When logging into an email that you don't use boomerang with: This popup appears, while everything else in the window (your emails) is greyed out and uninteractable: (BOOMERANG LOGO) "Welcome to Boomerang!" (BOLD TEXT) (BOLD TEXT) Let's connect to your Gmail: SHINY BLUE BUTTON WITH GOOGLE LOGO: Sign in with Google (tiny italic grey text): By clicking "Sign in with Google", you agree to our (underlined) Terms of use. (EMPTY SPACE) (EMPTY SPACE) (even greyer tiny italic text) No thanks, I don't want to use Boomerang. Stop undoing the legacy of honourable UI designers whose good work helped make software available to common people, just so you can make a bit more money. That is evil, and you know it. I don't care if all your cool marketing race-to-the-bottom friends are doing it. Present fair choices to the user. Be a good person in your work life as well as your professional life.
Signature feature requires paid subscription.
recurring emails feature requires subscription.....
Boomerang takes over your email and all I want was the availability sharing. They should have a version just for that. In addition, whether or not it even showed up was unpredictable. I tried to share my availability a few times and it wasn't even an option in those emails. Total fail.

DO NOT GET IT!!! You can't get rid of it! NOTHING is letting this uninstall from my accounts. I've disabled this numerous times! The "remove from Chrome" buttons don't respond... STAY AWAY!
Trial software that changes to a really expensive subscription to keep using it after about a month.
Bleah, 15$/month for recurring messages. Definitely happening..
not working
Not been working for sometime now, not even after reinstalling the app
Sent an email to my future self, it never arrived and now i can' find it. Very upset ngl
Does not really work as expected. You will not find your email in sent box and you can not change email that you plan to send out.
Why are they tracking where I click in the app? I am a paying customer, why track what I do? Also, no Data Protection Policy. Dodgy!
Doesn't work. It will only let me "compose" a message to myself, and now I'm just hoping that they didn't get any of my information. >=(
This is getting ridiculous. I have emailed these guys at least 12 times from 4 different email addresses and all messages have been ignored. What is going on there. Please refund the money now. Sincerely and angered, Brian Liebman Third request. I will cancel transaction with credit card company if no response.
Just another tech company with an over priced product that makes it hard to contact them, wastes your time and money, and has answers delayed up to days. Lucky us. The new standard of customer retention. I don't need this product that bad...
Got excited about this until I realized a lot of the functionality doesn't work with the revamp of gmail. Not user friendly.
You have to pay for it- better to use snooze from gmail.
Changed their pricing model so now you need pro to use Inbox Pause schedules
cant use not Australian
I checked for different services/free features for about 2 hour. Then setup /resetup of the needed recurring messages. 2h. Then finding out in a email 1 month later i needed to pay for this service. It was not described on the webpage or when i install it. I alway choose to not activate trial premium features, if possible, because of things like this. I dont find it reasonable to pay 5$ a month for 3 recurring messages a month. If it was a one time fee of 100$ for "lifetime", ok..
doesn't work anymore
Send Later function doesn't reliably work.
Don't get scammed! Boomerang have been billing me for the last 3 years for the former work email that has been inactive, so I could not have used their services. And yet, they refused to reimburse me. This should honestly be illegal - that is user scamming. I am appalled by their shady and predatory business practices
Did not send the email. Very bad, glad I tested it first. Now I can't even find how to remove this useless extension.
I've been trying to contact Boomerang support since March 4, and I haven't received any response, so I had to uninstall Boomerang. Posting here to try and get a response: I tried emailing and posting in support with no success. I don't like one feature of Boomerang: where Boomerang shows up as a "move to" option. As background, on gmail, when I click on an email, I choose "move to" so that I can archive the email into one of my folders. I really like my current system: even though I have a lot of folders, I named them in such a way that I don't have to scroll through the folders-- the most important and commonly used folders show up first alphabetically. For example, "career," "financials," and "housekeeping" show up earlier in the alphabet, and so I am able to archive emails quickly. However, when I had Boomerang installed, Boomerang has taken over my "move to" option. I tried renaming the Boomerang folder to "zBoomerang," but that messed up the system. Boomerang support, please contact me and advise: how do I remove Boomerang as an option in my "move to" system? I want to remove the "Boomerang," "Boomerang-Outbox," "Boomerang- Outbox cancelled," and "Boomerang-returned" from my "move to option," as it is very annoying. I already attached a picture of "move to" for reference in my email to support. Also for reference: I tried the "managing labels" settings in gmail and hiding the labels, but it didn't work. I tried nesting the Boomerang labels under a new label I made, "zBoomerang," but Boomerang spawned three new labels called Boomerang, Boomerang-Outbox, and Boomerang-Return.
pop ups
Godawful, unusable trash heap. NEVER install this under any circumstances.
Loved the way this extension worked with just the regular boomerang. Actually liked (past tense) the pause button but it has broken and I can no longer unpause it. The trouble shooting worked but would not remove the stupid message saying your inbox is paused. Also I have been having wired glitches since I started using pause (emails show up days late or hours after the pause is released). Great concept but poor implementation. Please don't release half baked ideas on your loyal customers, I pay for this service FYI to get the extra unlimited emails from boomerang.
I liked having the ability to approach inbox zero with the boomerang feature. However, the new "Pause" button is really annoying. You should definitely be able to remove it. I'm deleting this extension for now.
Add a button to Gmail without any ability to disable it? Uninstalled.
Sorry, I have to uninstall with this new Pause button and no way to remove it.
Pause feature is aggressive in inbox
Could not even use it, or Gmail until I disabled it. it made gmail stop loading on my laptop.
The add on from an unknown third party wants to read, delete, modify all emails! Don't add it!!
Has disappeared, yet again, this app is not fit for purpose, if it is not robust enough to survive upgrades it should not be offered. I strongly suggest you avoid it, totally unreliable.
[Updated] Boomerang has become defunct for many users since about March 25 2017. The company responded to my request for support, and after having me try a bunch of things, declared it doesn't support my version of Chrome, which is the latest version as of 4/8/17. Still doesn't work. If you look at the support comments, you'll see similar reports.
jesus...don't use it on business it has a lot of bugs that might send you emails accidentally and repeatedly.
Inconsistent and has bugs. Printing out errors in my console. Something is causing it to break and I can no longer boomerang any emails. Have tried uninstalling and reloading the extension multiple times and still broken.
