broken and not worth it
Not working on Netflix anymore (as of 2025/8/24)
Not working on Netflix. I tried changing the settings, but it still doesn’t work.
DOSE NOT WORK GERMANY
Not working, at least on Prime Video
Doesn't seem to work on Prime Video. At least not in Germany. Though it does have access to the site.
Very scammy. Asks for permissions on any websites. Loaded with fake reviews. I'd give it a 2 star despite that if it actually worked, but about half the catalogue doesn't work or is incorrect.
not working. maybe netflix has updated its website?
This extension will track your web activity, without your consent. Do not give it access to all websites, unless you want the websites you visit to be sent to the developer's Google Analytics. For context, I'm a software developer, so I know how to find these things. It didn't take long. The fake, irrelevant reviews are a dead giveaway too. Don't install this extension. On the face of it, it's quite useful, but there's something shady going on here, for sure.
doesnt seem to be working on netflix or amazon prime.
Unfortunately doesn't work anymore on Amazon Prime Video.
This extension causes extreme blurriness on Disney Plus whenever the controls are visible. Took me a long time to find out that this extension was causing it since it's such a nonsensical effect and that this extension doesn't even say it's doing anything on Disney Plus. Contrary to what the developer said, there is no popup that needs to be dismissed, it's just very blurry with no explanation whatsoever and no way to dismiss anything.
DO NOT USE! Since the update it requests permissions to access ALL sites. This is a big breach of privacy and is not acceptable. Their excuse is to stop you from having to approve new sites as they are added which is honestly braindead. If you want to account for adding sites in the future, either do what your supposed to do and let the user approve it, or just request access to all the possible video sites from the start, even ones that you don't support yet - ie disneyplus.com, paramount.com etc - this is so much better than just requesting access to EVERY site on the internet. For people that don't understand how extensions work this gives them the ability to say, send copies of private documents on banking websites back to their own server. Its bizarre that they haven't changed this given the 20+ reviews complaining about it. Although chrome extension spyware is not uncommon, its more likely just them being too stubborn to admit they made a mistake. Its a shame because the extension does work quite well otherwise :(
This extension used to be so cool! Then it tried to do *all the things* for *all the streaming services*. Permissions are off the rails, and now it wants me to "sign in" on gettrim.cc (I guess so it can collect data)? Anyway, gettrim.cc is down for everyone on the saturday night of this one-star review.
Needs permissions to read the data on ALL sites. 1/4th of the ratings are not accurate on Netflix--assumingly because it does not use movie IDs but rather searches the title on IMDB and if something else pops up as the first result then that is the rating you will see.
The extension opened a popup while I was browsing on amazon.com. It was a release notes on "What's new in Trim 7.41". I don't want extensions taking over a webpage to show show their content. Instant uninstall
permissions on all websites, no thanks. Bye
HAHAHAHA IT ASKS FOR PERMISSION ON «ALL» WEBSITES Bye bye, never touching this again. Their excuse : «so that we don't ask for permission updates every time we add a new supported platform» Hahaha yeah sure. How about I uninstall it so that you don't have to ask ever again indeed, since that's what you want. You like that? Well I hope you do, cause that's happening. «Oh but you can restrict the extension access to certain sites» hahah yeah mate, I'm going to write down an infinie number of websites addresses that I will visit in the future, including websites that do not exist yet. You think we're stupid? Who the hell they think we are, braindead dumb guinea pigs? How about you send me your websites data, including passport details on your flights booking websites, and bank account details on your online banking. Go ahead, give your data to me. No? Yeah didn't think so. Me neither. I will make sure to tell my friends to uninstall it.
Requesting permissions for every website is simply not acceptable.
Asking for permissions on all sites is an unacceptable security risk. I will not put in the effort to restrict Trim manually, potentially breaking or limiting the functionality. Chrome has a built-in system to prompt on permissions changes, which works great and is transparent. Having that prompt whenever Trim updates is not annoying to me, but actually provides a nice reminder that it now works on different site. Until this is resolved, I will uninstall the plugin, and advice against it to friends and family.
Don't ask for permissions for all sites, just tell us to turn it on
Asking for permissions for all websites is just unacceptable. The company behind trim is quite obscure, I would not recommend anyone to give them access to all websites.
All of a sudden needs access to all websites... On my PC I have limited access to netflix only through chrome manage extension > Site access > On specific Websites only >
Why do you need permission for all sites?
Before recent update it was a 5/5 and super useful. Now it asks to "read and change all your data on all websites" ! Before it was limited to just the video sites it's intended to. Please fix this as I value my privacy, otherwise good work but will not be keeping the extension and giving that access if that's not fixed :/
Why does this extension need permission to read and change data on ALL websites? Shouldn't it be designed to only need access to netflix and other streaming sites?
doesn't work on amazon.co.jp
Yea... this just does not work lol. Look up "Blacklist" a TV show that has an imdb of 8.0/10.0. Yet this extension claims it's a 9.1?? Hello? Are you paid by netflix or something?
Doesn't work on amazon.co.uk/gp/video as it doesn't request access.
Excellent extension for netflix, however on my computer it reduces the speed of downloading or uploading any file on chrome from milliseconds to 3-4 seconds. DESTROYS DOWNLOAD SPEED! I suffered for 3 months with this glitch and had no idea why!!! So annoying!
Constant incorrect imdb scores to the point of being useless.
Not working for me.
Doesn't work
dont work for me

Doesn't work
not working anymore...tried uninstalling and installing again but to no avail
Used until they change their permissions to send Notifications and then read their privacy declaration to see they record user activity. No thanks. There are other addons which don't scrape your data.
For Amazon: only works on amazon.com. Useless for most people around the world! (e.g. Germany) Why dont have develpper more horizon during programming?

It doesn't work
It's nice to see the rating of a piece of content on netflix before watching it as Netflix have decided to remove that feature, however Rotten Tomatoes is a trash service so if you can remove that this will be better
There is an issue with "Episodes & Info" when extension is enabled. This happens with some shows. It happens to me when I open the "Episodes & Info" for the spongebob series. When I open it and leave it open for a while, it automatically closes and opens again, but with only episode 1 and can't scroll down. I tested it with the extension disabled, and this problem did not happen. I have tested version 5.10 of the extension and don't get this issue. Here is a link to the video of what happens: https://streamable.com/m0o4qr
Great idea. Too bad it doesn't give you the actual ratings. It gives you a rating for a show with that name. So remakes are marked as if they were the original. Needs to check the year to ensure that it is the correct show.
Ratings are not accurate. Probably does a simple query search so if multiple movies have the same title, it randomly picks the rating from the list.
The concept is good, but the API is all over the place. It gets the ratings of wrong titles, especially for titles that have previous releases with the same name. Or it's just a total miss, i.e. V Wars gets the ratings from IMDb and Rotten Tomatoes, Apocalypse Now and X-Men: Apocalypse, respectively. Please, fix it and I'll be glad to give it 5 stars. Until then, the extension isn't very useful.
it doesnt update the ratings regularly or something. the displayed ratings are very different from the imdb itself
not working
Doesn't work at all. No ratings are visible.
