This thing behaves in a very suspicious manner. It’s not actually an extension as advertised and comes without intelligible uninstall. You can get rid of it by going to chrome://apps/, right click and delete (thanks Adam Wood). Or better yet, don’t install and open directly from Gmaps (limited to 5MB unfortunately)

Constantly tells me to disable AdBlock to use it even when it's already disabled.

Utterly useless. Draws straight lines rather follows a road route. Spent ages trying to use it, but gave up as it is an impossible app to use.

adware, possible spyware, and i never found the application to view gpx files. the high rating should be a warning that this is a scam.

DO NOT USE!!!! One of our clients had called us stating they had tried installling some software to read particular files etc. I went onto his PC and the extension had infected the whole browser. Only option was to reset to default. READ REVIEWS BEFORE DOWNLOADING SOFTWARE!!!!!!

Basically this is just a shell containing Google Maps, a slightly easier way to open GPX files in Google Maps, plus spammy advertisements around the edges. The advertisements are designed to be misleading (e.g., they have a "open file" button in the image, which they want to trick you into clicking in order to do something probably malicious to your computer). For anyone trying to uninstall this, go to chrome://apps/ then find the app, right click, and click remove. I don't know whether this app actually is malware and whether removing it in this way will actually get rid of it entirely.

Refused to work for me - Google says that it is not verified as safe.

Spyware/adware. OpenDNS and SafeDNS don't like it, won't run unless you enable an ad-tracker javascript. No thanks!

Very basic loads GPX to Google Map. Did not display elevation profile for route, the "Load File from Google Drive" did not display GPX files that were present - showing an empty folder. The advertising links were difficult to distinguish from application menus.

Looks nice but there's no detail view ie data point info. Would be nice to see this eg when clicking on a point.

The app is fine. It saves using a stand alone software for viewing GPX files and it overlays on Google Maps so it's good. As said above, it doesn't load the file from Drive so you have to download to your HDD. I can see an elevation profile but it's plotted against time, I rather have it plotted against distance as it is a lot more useful. Thanks for developing.

Works well with Handy GPS App Tool on Smart Mobile , no need for Garmin or TomTom GPS !!
