dont get me wrong, filtering should be implemented on every school computer but this is overstepping it. keylogger, images dont load, websites take 30 seconds to load, educational sites are blocked like cmon gng

I had to give one star because less is not an option. What utter garbage! What good is a monitoring app if it cannot be hidden? There is NO WAY to hide, rename, or otherwise make this stupid extension less obvious. Any parent knows that if you tell your kids you are watching, they will just learn to hide stuff better. Hopefully the device works better. I mean, if you are dealing with toddlers, this might be useful. Two thumbs down!

Horrible Extension, it blew up my phone when I was trying to uninstall it.

Horrible. Please don't consider letting your kids use it. Strips kids of all their privacy, and makes them feel like they have to tiptoe around you and the restrictions you've set. App has good intentions, but a horrible, horrible impact on the kids, who will likely grow up to be secretive, untrusting adults.

- The reviews on the site are fake. If you right click a profile picture and select "view in new tab", the image will unblur. Sometimes it will say "stock image" /in the URL/. And when it doesn't, you can right click again and reverse image search, which will lead you /to stock photo websites/. And if you copy + paste the reviews into Google and hit go, the reviews (which are mock FaceBook posts) won't show up, only /the bark website/. Because they aren't real posts. They don't exist on FB. - This app warns parents about /everything/. My mom keeps telling me that I don't know how Bark works and that it doesn't tell her everything I do, but it flags me going to Deviant Art, talking about Lemon Demon, saying "oh my God"(---or OMG!), saying "never gonna give you up", using the word "hot" or talking about /anything/ LGBTQ+ related. - Parental controls only teach kids to not trust anyone and how to do things in secret. - Kids have different views from their parents and that is okay. They shouldn't be punished for that.

Dont Download this!!! I take perfect care of my pc and make sure to keep everything cleaned up so it doesnt run like garbage but it just keeps lagging.my google will randomly close and i cant do anything about it (┬┬﹏┬┬)

This is the worst extension to ever exist. It destroys your relationship with your parents completely. If your parents install this for you, please talk to them about it. It is a complete invasion of privacy and should not exist at all. If your parents get this for you, the are truly just terrible parents and don't have any trust for you. I hate this. My bond with my parents is going lower by each step because of this stupid thing. I can't have any privacy, and this app puts you in a position where you are worried about hackers and other things like that. I feel uncomfortable asking my friends to text me when they have problems, because their personal lives can be read by my parents. They keep telling me they don't look at the alerts, and yet I can feel our relationship severing. This app is a complete joke, and I can't wait to get away from my overly-invasive parents, and this overly-invasive app. This is ruining my childhood.

super bad to be honest

I know I'm gonna sound like every other teenager on this app, but this sucks. I had this on my phone and after a week it was lagging. I kept restarting it, fixing my internet, it was just bark itself. It's basically a whole virus that takes over your device. Bark doesn't just monitor "sexual" material like p**n it also monitors what is considered "cyber bullying." Why should bark tell my mom that I told my bsf "Loser" or anything like that. The cyber bullying images that are shown on the Barks' website are just stupid. I have friends vent to me and I don't need some virus to notify my mother about it so she can read it too. They're my friends, not my mothers. I feel bad when I have to tell my friends that they can't vent to me because some app is going to send it to my nosy mother. This app made me lose all trust with my parents.

An invasion of privacy, I am also extremally disappointed that my mom had to put this on here. this just shows their child that their parents don't trust them with google or any other website or app. I had found this extension because I had seen it, because I was trying to get some Roblox web extensions. The only thing this shows kids is that their parents don't trust them. this doesn't teach kids any lesson, or tell them to be safer, (okay just a little bit.) it shows them that their parents doesn't care about their privacy and if younger kids can comprehend this, then that means that they will think that they don't have to care for others privacy. Bark is a virus. Straight as that. While is provides somewhat of an insider to what a child may be doing online its methods are to have unwanted access to accounts and devices. The safety features flaunted by Bark is all just a trojan horse for personal information, records, and much more to be put at risk from attackers or be maliciously extracted by those who authored Bark. Another issue to Bark is its flagging feature which flags common phrases that could be used in multiple contexts. This extension is invasive and does not do what it is advertised to do. It does not keep children safe. It does not guarantee a safer environment. All it is is a company nobody even in the tech world has heard of that is trying to market towards exploitable customers, parents/school administrators. Under no circumstances should this ever be used by businesses or even government entities/agencies.

This may sound petty, but, I had full axes to everything on my chrome book, and I had full privacy, but now I can't even talk to my Bf because of it! on top of that I can't use my phone for the same damn reason. my computer is very slow now and takes forever to load; I wish that this app never existed. You may think that this is a petty review from a teenager who thinks they know everything, and you might be right. However, you could also be wrong. I barely had this app for a day, and my phone already doesn't work. It broke my whole phone down to where I couldn't even talk to my friends or text anyone without having to wait about 1 to 3 hours before having my message either being or not delivered. I also couldn't use the majority of my apps because they were stuck loading forever. It got so bad to where I am having to go to my computer to do things I should be able to do on my phone. Before I got bark, my phone was very responsive and fast, however after it was significantly slow. Their website claims that their app "only slows down internet speeds in minor ways". This is not true whatsoever. I should also add that setting up bark is an over-excessive pain. Their customer service was also unresponsive. They should not charge the amount that they do for a shabby app.

This is the worst possible extension to exist. This should be removed. I understand schools using this but the thing is that you get ZERO PRIVACY. Parents also use this. This can be helpful BUT you should be able to trust your child. Using this extension as a parent to secretly watch your child is a VERY bad idea. I say this because it make your child try to hide things from you. They will end up not trusting you. I swear that some people need to respect their children's privacy. Like I said earlier, this should be DELETED IMMEADENTLY, along with any other Bark extensions.

So... Back when I was a fifth grader, my school decided to put this on my school account, which I was like, "Oh, just a harmless little extension to monitor me," but I was wrong. I was watching some Apex Legends videos on Youtube, and ended up getting flagged for violence.Nothing is personal for me anymore, and I feel like I always have a bootleg developer watching me. I am so insecure, I have even put tape over my webcam. I do, in fact understand that the school wants to make sure I'm not doing anything wrong, and I was fine with that, up until it glue itself to my personal email. I don't know how it got there, but now I can't do anything anymore because I can't research stuff due to restrictions, can't play games, watch videos on Youtube, or even send texts or messages without getting flagged. This App is the worse thing to happen to me in a long time. My parents put this on my device & linked all my stuff. This has absolutely ruined my social life.I had friends that I can't even talk to anymore because of this apps stupid restrictions. My parents treat me like a five year old who doesn't know how to make his own decisions. I'm 15 nearly 16 and they're just now deciding to get this app right as I have an actual social life. God, I've never hated my parents more. If any parents are reading this. Find a better way. No kid or teenager is gonna be okay with you just accessing everything they have. Don't treat your kids like belongings. They aren't just people that live in your house for you to tell what to do. This app will ruin any relationship you may have with your kids. I hate my parents now and can just never work up the gut to say it to their face. The only reason I haven't just left the house is because I can't drive yet. Screw this app. It's an invasion of privacy and any parent who gets this is a terrible parent who would rather know everything their kid is doing than just teaching them better.
