When I hover the mouse cursor over it, it keeps bobbing up and down. I can't configure it because it jumps up when I point the mouse cursor at it; then when I move the mouse cursor up to point at it, it moves down again, as if it's trying to avoid my mouse cursor.

It blocks my subtitles from appearing at all, let alone dual subs.

Hello, yesterday I was using the YouTube plugin to subtitle a programming course, and now I came to watch the rest of the tutorial. It seems like the plugin is not working and a red message appears that says: Error 429: An unexpected error occurred.

This used to work really well. But the subtitles don't show any more for me. With the extension enabled, even normal auto generated subtitles don't show up.

I loved this but pressed the wrong thing on the pop-up menu and the subtitles disappeared permanently with no way to bring it back. Super disappointing that there's no way to fix this from the actual subtitles menu. If the subtitles disappear, so does the menu to bring it back.

This doesn't seem to work as if 9/24/2024. When activate, all subtitles disappear from the youtube video. There is no additional options in the settings menu.

Where is the subtitle download feature which the old version used to have ??? terrible updates. Always, it looks like it only shows one language at a time, where is the "Dual" part?? please fix it !!!

I'm trying to display both chinese and english subtitle on a video, but the extension generates its own english track instead of displaying the one already available on the video T.T

Before, it was hard to do, but after some minutes of trying, I could setup it to work. Now, you did something to it, the extension absolutely doesn't work. No subtitle is shown. And you removed the commands from the popup menus and send it to the "3 points button" on the upper left of the subtitle... but the whole subtitle is not visible now, included that button (yes, video's "CC" button is activated), so there is no way I can force it to show something or communicate some command to the extension. Seems like you also removed the downolad subtitle feature... remove this! remove that! What got into you to destroy what was already working? Stop removing things please, restore the commands on the settings gear's popup menu. Now I gonna try to search for an old version of this. I got it only so I can download and edit subtitles, and suddenly the downloading feature has been removed....

Awful update, the extension is unusable now. It used to be the best of its kind, why mess that up?

The changes in logic and functionality in this upgrade (ver3.7.1) give me the feeling that... Why did you melt down a steel wrench only to cast a crooked, soft iron nail? And why is the nail still being sold at the counter? did you really want to do that? Sorry...Although I know it's unfriendly,But I really need to say something to someone.

I left a 5-star rating not only because this tool is incredibly helpful to many, but also due to my frustration with some users who disregard the developer's time and effort, lacking basic courtesy and respect. Thank you for your hard work! After carefully reviewing the latest version, I’ve decided to move on. It's not what I wanted, and I would prefer the previous version. Now, I need to look for an alternative.

Issue I have now that, you can't copy and paste the caption text like you used to. All the settings are buried in the captions inside of youtube CC. There is also a bug if you like on bilingual and CC just disappears completely. Prefer the old version.

Why Removed subtitle download feature? Kindly do not remove it.

Unfortunately, the plugin's developer has disappeared, does not improve the code and is unlikely to make the appendix MV3-compatible. The only alternative so far is: https://github.com/odedstr/youtube-full-captions/tree/master/src (you have to manually install for yourself) Unfortunately, it only works in English. When you switch it has automatic translation in another language-it does not work.

This extension is completely broken now, Subtitles flow out of the video window, majority of the times it won't even show dual subtitles, just use "Interactive Dual Subs for Languages Learning" extension, its way better.

I seriously don't understand why this has so many positive reviews. I want it to work so bad that I've tried at least 20 times, on different pcs and laptops, mac and windows, in the past 2 years. It doesn't work, the subtitles just disappear sometimes and you're left with the default youtube ones. Often the language is stuck in english too and can't be switched without it disappearing, for no reason.

Do not download. It works briefly then stops, and since then (a few hours ago) I have been unable to get any Youtube captions at all. I removed from chrome, restarted PC etc, but nothing ever since.

I've used it on 4 different computers, its never worked, I don't understand where all the good reviews come from. I just want to use the features where the subs come line by line instead of word by word, and the custom size / colour etc

This thing attempts to google translates the sub of first language to spit out the sub of second language. This results in utter garbage lines. Do not use.
