True Key™ by McAfee

This was a good app when you could log in and manage passwords. Now there is no way to log in and update anything. Worthless.

Poor. Often fails to load in Google Chrome. Separately, on iPhone True Key often just states "An error occurred" so you're just sort of dead-ended. Poor effort by McAfee.

sorry i find it extremely difficult to get to trust key and its not friendly in addition i get lots of mails warning me that my account is in danger because its not renewed but i iphone tells me that all is ok so i am confused

Dont buy. I can't cancel automatic renewal and can't join team support everything is bug.

It may be a good app but it doesn't seem to want to load on my PC. If the app works like trying to setup, then it is no good at all.

Got logged out of true key and couldn't find my pass word. They do not have a way to reset it. DON'T BUY

Disappeared off my computer taking all my passwords with it. Unable to get back into it. It will not accept my password that I know is correct because it's written down. Am not at all sure about the repercussions of this.

Yes, I'm here with all the rest to say why doesn't the extension in Chrome seem to work, and the login to the website seems to have disappeared, and I'm now being asked to download bloatware to my laptop... Very very poor.

CAN NOT SIGN IN TO TRUE KEY. KEEPS WANT ME TO DOWNLOAD TRUE KEY WHEN IT IS ALREADY ON COMPUTER.

i have changed my laptop and trying to login, it says that check your email to confirm this device, but i am not getting the email.

As a paying customer McAfee, if you offer a product it's expected that we get that product. For weeks now I haven't been able to get into TrueKey as per usual. Only once over multiple tries, have I managed to land on the TrueKey sign in page. If Google is trying to block TrueKey it needs to be addressed and your customers need to be told, so be up front. If so, please enable BRAVE browser to be used. No matter what, we need to be told what's going on.

Completely broken and useless. The app will not let me log in, it will not send notifications, it will not send the login requests to anything else and as such it can not be used is useless.

Not supported in Chrome? Uninstall? And how do I get my passwords?

VERSION 4'S HAD WAY BETTER SEARCH USEABILITY. The app and extensions now make using True Key extreme hassle. Mobile and desktop have the same issue with searching. We use it as a family and have over 500 and trying too find by ID no longer works. Don't you test the updates? Firefox for some reason only goes too version 4 but any update in ver 5 does not get transferred too ver 4. The A>Z order seams too not know the alphabet. Why oh why did you not test the app!!!

Same problen as everyone else. I can't log into TrueKey because it doesn'nt recognize my key and it won't let me update it. You need to fix this or give a way to stop it from doing thois or I will just delete it because it is very very fraustrating.

I am on an endless loop....I login, enter password, wait for code via email, enter code from email and I land on a page that says my login was successful but there isn't anything beyond that. If I access the extension, then I have to go through the login process again.

Good functionality but only when it can remain signed in. The whole point of having something like this is to not have to worry about entering passwords over and over again. But this thing keeps signing itself out. What a shame. Gonna get rid of it soon.

It gets a one star because after two years of good service, lately it is glitchy. Keeps signing me out, will not open when I select is not popping up on web sites. The thought of moving all of this to another program gives me a headache, but I likely have no choice.

I've been using truekey for about 2 years and in the past 2 months this browser extensions has gone way down hill. Doesn't even work anymore!! PLEASE FIX THIS!!

I used to love this password manager app. If I had rated it one year ago, I would have given 5 stars. But at some point in the last few months, they made a significant change, because now it constantly logs off. All my browser settings are still set the same. I tried clearing cache and cookies with no luck. And I cannot ignore it, because then if I stay logged off, and I go to one my accounts to try and log in manually, the pop-up keeps coming up. It's now more of a hassle than just keeping all my passes in a separate file. Time to look for another password manager.

Trukey constantly logging me off, now I can't get it to let me log in (page doesn't appear) at all - I need to be able to work!!!!!!!!!!!

I have to manually log into the app every time where as before it would automatically log in each time. What's going on and when will this be fixed? Has the app been hacked?? Are my passwords safe??

I have had true key for about a year. Very recently I was asked to enter passwords and login name. Now Im in a bind because I allowed True Key to handle this for me and I do not know this information. What has happened?

Recently, have to keep signing into the app. Before, had no issues, but this is a very annoying issue that other people are having! It's making me consider canceling because that defeats the purpose of the app...

Chrome(Windows 11) App Version 5.0.0.186 still does not have a search for login function. The app for Microsoft Edge still works. This needs to be fixed ASAP as we are paying for this app.

Same complaint as everyone else. Mine stopped working and I have to enter my password everytime I use it. Extremely frustrating!

like others, was a big fan of True Key, but recently on Chrome (Mac), the extension just does not work. have to manually open the site, copy and paste passwords, defeating the point of the extension.

TrueKey stopped working as an extension on Chrome (MacBook) for me. I spent days with levels 0-2 support until McAfee admitted other users also had this problem. It persisted for 2 weeks. Nobody told me when it was fixed. I've since switched password app to where the service is more reliable.

I am getting so annoyed not being able to use the website anymore. The extension doesn't work. I have to go to my phone app in order to get what my logins and passwords are in order to manually login.

last few days ago to yet app not working in google chrome. What is the reason. Please fix it. I have also updated 5.0.0.186 but still app is stuck in "Loading True Key App" I have been with McAfee for years this is making me loose trust on them as this issues being their for such a long time..

This new CHROME update is horrible - Alphabetically order is so screwed up and the search feature is horrible - What happed - it was working fine with the last version - I opened the extension on a laptop that was not used for a while and before it updated to 5.0.0.186 it had a 4 version on it where the search worked great - and it listed Alphabetically perfectly the way it's been used for years, now with version 5 I have to constantly change to most recent just to see get it to alpha and hit do horizonal boxes instead of square.. FIX this issue please - have on 3 PC's and same issue on all.

About a week ago Favorites (True Key) suddenly stopped working. Support person clearly had no idea about the 'favorites' feature and swore up and down it didn't exist. McAfee has been going downhill for sometime now. Time to look elsewhere for security and password managment.

Not working for several days in my Chrome, but the app is still working on my I-phone. Will probably have to input all my passwords on a different manager...

After trying to log in for days now and not being able to on my computer, I accidentally came across these reviews and had no clue it wouldn't work in Chrome anymore! That's the issue!!!! Won't open at all!!!! I'm very annoyed with this!!! I don't use microsoft edge, but now I guess I'm forced to.

I tried to log into True Key today in Chrome and got this response: Your file couldn’t be accessed. It may have been moved, edited, or deleted.

It's working fine in Microsoft Edge. Very annoying that it's stopped working in Chrome.

Used to love this app but I am having the same nasty issues as everyone else. I use a Chrome browser and have deleted and reinstalled 6 times. Works on the reinstall but if you log out have to do it all over again. McAfee DO BETTER, we all pay good money to use your stuff and this is nuts!!!

I am having ALL of the issues listed below by other reviewers! Multiple delete and installs to no avail.

The app stopped working in Chrome on Windows 11 Pro. It works on my other laptop with an earlier version of Windows.
