TripChipper (TravelArrow) - Travel Better

The lack of transparency with how the business model works is what urks me with this plugin. If you're browsing a content creator's itinerary, and click on hotels or flight agencies that support the creator, but then decided to use Trip Chipper (Travel Arrow) to find an extra deal, it REMOVES the original creator's referral cookie. Even if you press "Okay" instead of "Activate and Close," it still opens a new tab, replaces it with Travel Chipper's referral cookie. Then it auto-closes so you're none the wise. In my opinion, this business practice is shaddy. This should at least be included in the How it works video. I don't have issues with them trying to fund their plugin but the lack of transparency, especially after the Honey plugin expose by MegaLag, feels disappointing. You can check this yourself. If you're on Chrome, the next time you press "Okay" look at the tab that opens and closes on the left hand side.

Shows "best price" although I found the same room 20 to 30% cheaper on other sites - and that was the case with more than one hotels.

Extension is messing with Cloudflare Captchas and preventing me for entering any website with Cloudflare. Needs fixing ASAP.

great idea, has the potential to be an amazing tool. unfortunately it's not working in my usecase. never showed a cheaper price in agoda or booking (tried 20 hotels). terrible execution.

As someone that has worked in the travel industry for 10+ years, this is not a "revolutionary Tool" it is no different than any other flight amalgamator site.

"AIRBNB FEE REDUCER" doesn't work... visiting airbnb.com nothing is there to get me to the owner directly as you claim this extension is doing.

Returned flights that were more expensive than what Google Flights offered and wouldn't filter using airline alliance like I wanted. Not for me

Used for the first time and it did not guess correctly. Good effort, though. Uninstalling now.

I have an ethical obligation to urge people not to use this fraudulent application. Opened a credit card dispute because the extension did not disclose the full costs of a booking. Instead, after paying, all additional costs are disclosed, costing 50% more than booking directly with the provider! Furthermore, there is a single Indian guy manning their "customer service" number. He answers "hello?" without saying what entity he represents. It's a joke.

Showed flights that were double the price as the cheapest flights on Google Flights, so no point in really using it. At least at the time of writing. Also, looks like some of these reviews are bots. Some of them use the exact same wording.

same prices as any other search apps. they overprice the tickets before you compare them. But even if you use other search, the prices are the same as with the comparison. waste of time.

I have tried it so many times on the hotwire website and every time it says there is not enough info to recognize the hotel name.

I don't usually write reviews but felt compelled to do so with this extension. Like others I was interested in the so-called price-saving deals. It says that it searches and will display even the airlines that don't show up in the aggregator sites. Well, that would be great, right? I hate having to look on Google Flights then having to pop over to Southwest Airlines to compare since they don't show up on Google Flights. Well, Travel Arrow DOES NOT show SW flight info, which renders it useless to me in that regard. So I thought, well, it does have a feature called 'Travel Arrow Miles' which pops up a lot when I am shopping online. I figured that was cool since it seems to offer good percentages. Thing is, I cannot find anywhere how to get my cash back. It talks about it on their website, but no link to actually get my cash back. It's a scam. Doesn't do at all what it says it does. Uninstalling.

It is click-bait. I got tricked. Then I went back to instagram and saw the viral video of people reporting the guy for lying and scamming them. So i also filed claim on the government site. Glad i am not the only one who was angry that the owner tricked us

Book with the airline. The founder blatantly lies on social media and then deletes comments & blocks all the people who call him out for lying. I saw a movement where people were reporting him to the FTC for fraud because he lures people to this app by making blatant lies (example he shows a roundtrip flight and then shows how Travel Arrow is cheaper and shows a 1-way flight but tries to hide that fact)

"Other" is not even an option when the extension pops up. It's just as everyone says, Kayak, Skyscanner, Trip or Expedia.. useless -- Immediately removing the extension from Chrome.

I had the same issues as others- it does not load, I went around in circles trying to add, log in, activate- nothing.

Definitely misleading and not at all what their social media indicates. This extension in no way shows you anything from non-US travel sites. It just opens other sites such as Kayak and Skyscanner for you. Sometimes it doesn't even perform the search on those sites. Completely useless and misleading.

Ads claim it opens in new international "search engines" - it just opens in the domestic versions of skyscanner, kayak, etc conveniently with affiliate links in the URL. There are no "hidden" prices being exposed. Scam.

Google flights showed cheaper price before the installation of this extension. I compared with two browser. One with this extension installed and one without. The one without provided accurate results in google flights. My question is why google flights not showing cheaper options after installing the extension?

it doesnt even find all the hidden hotels on priceline. all it does is reverse image search the image of the bedroom, which you can do through google lens without this lame extension. if there isn't an image of the bedroom, it won't find hotel and sometimes it gives the name of a completely different hotel in another country. I would give it 0 stars if I could. waste of time

just a way for the creator to get affiliate clicks, v low effort

Ads claim this extension to big the greatest deal finder of all time. All it does is compare the three most common booking websites that everyone knows about anyway. Adds zero value, unless you love useless notifications then you'll love this plugin.

wasn't great, basically just showing the route on the skyscanner and kayak. It wasn't any cheaper.

Was searching a Hotwire hidden hotel rate in Geneva, Switzerland. It kept popping up with a hotel in Moscow, Russia. I refreshed results from Travel Arrow and it showed as a hotel in Manchester, England. Gave up after several tries. Not sure how the flights work, but I wouldn't put a ton of faith in the hotel shown.

it doesnt do anything. It says it shows cheaper flights, but it just redirects you to pages we already know, and can check manually.

Tried this 3 times with the promise of cheaper flights than google. It doesn't find anything other than sites that show an initial price that is lower than google flights only to find out that it is more expensive when you click through to checkout. Don't trust it!!

its annoying and doesn't really add to much. just a referral link so the creator can get ad money.

This is not working and don't reply with your bot saying to don't put random flights cause it's not the case. Just debug you extension thank you.

Love the idea but despite many efforts, I could not get it to work. Hopefully they work out the bugs.

Didn't work, I was looking for a hotel in a city in Texas but the hidden hotel that was found was somewhere in Michigan. Which didn't make sense at all since my search was for a hotel in Texas.

Was super excited but it didnt work at all on Hotwire, did same are on Priceline and came back with result in Arizona --- i was looking at hotels in Michigan. Wanted to love it ...

The extension only works on a few websites, yet it requires "access and change data on ALL websites" permissions. Overreaching. I will analyze the code later, but I suspect this is a honeypot malware.

TravelArrow does not play fair with similar extensions, for example, it entirely blocks RetailMeNot from showing their cashback offers, so that you can compare. Didn't figure this out until I visited Marriott's website and I KNOW RetailMeNot often has offers with Marriott. Using TravelArrow, retailmenot extension says "We don't support this site yet.", but as soon as I shut off TravelArrow, retailmenot had a much better offer.

Is not giving you offer comparisons when entering an "express deal" in Priceline.
