Paid the $30/yr to go pro, decent tool. Won't validate that I paid for the year so it's useless. Tried everything to get answer or assistance. Got nothing, would not recommend.
how it works?
The fact that this allows "100 design edits" per month is a joke. First of all, it's not told in any easily seeable way to the user and counts the smallest of "edits" so I basically changed a single div around before I hit the paywall. Secondly, anyone looking to use this to actually do anything large-scale would have to pay. The cost is not "reasonably priced" at all. I'd pay five dollars for this maximum to use permanently considering there are alternatives that are free that do exactly the same thing. The only thing going for it is that the UI is slightly better and that this has high SEO. High reviews look like they were either botted or coerced from Dec 16. to Dec 20 2024 and again during late August 2024. Stay away.
Everytime I click I get a pop-up to subscribe, horrible horrible product
Cannot click on anything
Tried to edit color, Just installed extension, Within 8 clicks I get popup for "pro" version, This extension exists to merely push paid product and should be removed as it is non-functioning free Extension. WARNING: ADWARE EXTENSION
Doesn't work. I'm prompted to select an element but nothing I tried resulted in me being able to select something.
It literally does nothing, data mining scam, stay away.
Terrible paywall and buggy tool (even with the paid plan). Also watch out, most of the reviews are fake,
Horrible Experience—Paid for Pro, Got Nothing I’m beyond disappointed with this product and the company behind it. I paid for the Pro plan expecting full access to the features I needed, but my account still shows as a free user with all the limitations that implies. I’ve reached out to support multiple times, and all I get are canned, automated responses that solve nothing. It’s frustrating, unprofessional, and a complete waste of my time and money. If you value your time, your patience, and your wallet, steer clear. This is hands-down one of the worst purchasing experiences I’ve ever had.
Keeps pushing the upgrade popup even tho I am way under the 100 free edits!
Removed for becoming trash extension. 100 changes? You count each vaule of style slider or what? Cant do anything.
100 changes per month for free? more like 10!
they dont let you do 100 changes per month like they say
I am sure that it is illegal and against all EU privacy policies to monitor user usage to limit it. Illegal app, it collects data. Even if you stop Automatically allow access to the following sites https://visualcsseditor.com/* it continues to collect data. It violates the privacy policies of the European Union and the Google Chrome Store Privacy Policies.
It's Impressive, but I dont do yearly subs. One off payment sure, but this is gouging. Deleted.
This is ridiculous! Installed the extension and started working on changing a few colors on my site but all of the sudden i have to pay in order to do anything. no warning ahead letting us know how many edits you have.
(I reposted to move this up higher) (Original post from July 12, 2022) It works on many websites, but for some reason, on certain websites, does not work. I can do it on a Github Pages site, but not Roblox.com (Edit from April 15, 2024) Okay. This used to be awesome. But what have you done? This used to be completely free, but now.. It costs 7 dollars a month, and 150 free edits? I wish that you guys weren't so money hungry. I'm just dumbfounded at why you did that. Thanks for ruining it.
Was fantastic until they decided to paywall the product.
It was a good extension until it only lets you edit 10 times before telling you that you had to pay for a 7 dollars a month. I feel like the creators could have made a lite version of this extension for the public and a professional version with all the features on a pay wall. That's why I gave one star because I felt like they were giving but then when they came to get some back they betrayed us in the end. For the creators of this extension, please reconsider the price plan, and create a lite version and professional version because we don't all have much money to spend on a monthly bases. Thank you for reading!
dropped it as soon as it told me i need to pay to check out """wordpress""" codes (all i wanted was to find what parameter was declared to add padding on a tumblr blog. technically, tumblr was bought by wordpress, but i only happened to have that knowledge, so it honestly just makes the devs look ignorant) looking at other reviews, this appears to be a recent change. all i can say to the devs is suddenly changing something, pissing your existing userbase off, and causing an influx of 1 star reviews isn't going to garner the support you were hoping for
Piece of junk ....
The extension is excellent but very limited free usage to test it's performance. every changes I do, there is this annoying popup coming up asking to upgrade to the paid version
Just like many of the other reviews on here, worked the first time I used it. Then I went back and nothing worked. I've updated my computer, but nothing. Piece of junk.
Super laggy unusable...
never worked. i try it in more than 5 different website.
meh
no Save feature, once you edit website and leave, the website is back to default style which is useless extension!
no working
False advertising. Says it works on any website but it does not work on WordPress websites. As soon as you go to export the code it kills all functionality on the webpage and forces you to redirect to codecanyon to pay for a plugin. Killed it by removing the option to export CSS, can't use it now, such a shame.
Waste of time since it is only for Wordpress sites.
After you restricted the access to wordpress websites, the extension now worth nothing, going to remove it
Overcomplicated and not working. I only need to change color variable. I know css selector where this variable is set. I know name of variable. Still can't achieve this. All I need is to write selector, write css rule and write url where to automatically apply this rule. Why making all this complicated navigation, strange style editor etc. We already have F12 for that.
This app is what i need, it works well, easy to use no CSS experience needed. However, within 3 minutes of downloading, the "Consider Upgrading to Pro" info-modal comes up and blocks me from using the extension. "Pro plan needed for editing over 100 styles per month." Now, THAT is reasonable! But i wasn't quite 100 keystrokes in, never mind 100 stylesheets. I downloaded it to tweak Google Drives web interface, for my needs. I was still on that page. What in the ever lovin' abyss is that about? From what I could tell in the 3 minutes that i was using it, this is a 5 star extension, but not if i can't even try it!
It looks like a cool tool and has a decent amount of functionality, but I used it for all of 5 minutes, doing some quick and rough changes on a website, before it spammed me with popups about paying for a premium plan. I don't think I ever reached the supposed 100 free monthly edits, but without paying, it doesn't allow me to do anything now. It's $30 for a year, which isn't the worst, but the free experience claiming 100 edits seems extremely dubious at best.
welp, cant use it now, main idea was that it was convinient to use for free, rated 5, now rating it 2, there are better options out there
Great when it worked, then stopped working and is frozen. Can't see a help guide to resolve the issue
can't use. how give access to all sites? it has access only on https://visualcsseditor.com/
Very glitchy at it's best... Have found myself needing to reload and start all over again from scratch because I have yet to find a "save" button.
YOU DIDNT MENTION IT ANYWHERE WAS FOR 150 EDITS FOR FREE BROOOOOO
It used the work perfectly but now its completely broken. If this still worked this would get a 5 star.
I thought it was a pretty great extension, but if you use the extension to move buttons or images, it will screw up everything because it uses translate x y, and it lags everything and moves it weirdly. Try using display:flex. Great overall though
Now its not working anymore, i did buy it as Yellow pencil for my wordpress site so if you disabled the wordpress editing to save the Wordpress selling you're quite wrong, Who decided this is simply wrong. It was a breeze to edit css, copy in the site and the if not working anymore revert back by just deleting css lines.. .Wrong decision.Very stupid. How to ruin a perfect product.
