It is technically restricted from processing YouTube's proprietary streaming architecture. WHY WE NEED THESE PERMISSIONS: To provide this functionality, Video Saver requires the following permissions: - "webRequest" & "host_permissions" (<all_urls>): Strictly necessary to monitor network traffic to detect m3u8 manifests and video content-types, and to bypass CORS restrictions when fetching video segments from third-party CDNs. - "downloads": Required to save the finalized video file to your local computer. - "offscreen": Required to process and merge large video files in the background without crashing the browser due to memory limits. - "tabs": Used to read the title of the active tab to suggest a relevant filename for the downloaded video. - "storage": Used to temporarily store the video manifest URL for the current session.
