Stops working after an hour or so. Opening the settings window sometimes magically makes it work again. Sometimes it forgets my custom rule and resets to the default rules, and I have to enter my rule again.
JUL 2024: Works like a charm! Does exactly what it claims. Regex matching/replacing feature is a cherry on top! Love this extension!!! UPDATE (JUL 2024): This seemingly beautiful extension is absolutely waste of time. After setting up like, 100 rules I figured out that it randomly resets all rules to default random chinese garbage. I should've read Yuki Kart's review before. I lost so much time, and writing this review so that hopefully you won't!
does not work
Unable to make it work
configurations might lost without notifying, export is working but the import is not. use with cautious
lacks many features/
won't redirect aliexpress.ru - .com
tab handling makes no sense. with "Redirect in current tab" it opens the modified link in the current tab although i wanna open it in a new tab (middle click or ctrl+click) and with "Redirect in new tab" it opens two tabs.
Easy to setup but... Randomly won't work and worse: middle-click to open link in new tab will behave strangely, often replace current page with new link. Manifest v3 has forced many good, functional and useful extensions out...
It works at first, but next few days it forgot its configuration. So I have to reconfigure again. Then it forgot again. It's worse than manually redirecting bro. It just resets to default setting everyday, what's the point then.
Would be good, but... When I open link in new tab (Ctrl + Click), redirection happens in current tab. When I choose in options "redirect in new tab", when I open link in new tab - 2 tabs are opened - one with normal URL, one with redirected. So it is useless :(
The extension has a bug. When I open the link in a new tab. The link address in the new tab changes according to the rule. But the address of the CURRENT tab also changes. This shouldn't be happening!
I'm looking for a replacement for the popular "Redirector", because it's no longer supported by Chrome. This (URL Auto Redirector) add-on is simple to use and migrating the regex rules were a simple matter of copy and paste. Unfortunately, there's one big problem compared to the add-on I used before: sites are loaded completely before the redirect happens. So imagine you want to redirect from Baidu to Google (a pre-configured example). You enter Baidu's address into the address bar and press enter. Instead of getting to Google right away, Baidu loads completely. After that happened, Google opens in the same tab. I don't know if that's because of Google's changes, but it makes the whole thing rather useless for me.
very clean and functional extension. there is one big IF still: i try to redirect a URL internally from instagram.com/<profilename>/ to https://bibliogram.pussthecat.org/u/<profilename>/ via (.*) -> /u/$1 which normally should work fine but since the extension allows for the external site to first change the URL to the instagram login page i always end up with https://bibliogram.pussthecat.org/u/accounts/login/ instead. the external server should not be able to interfere before the extension redirects!
