Basic Features Walkthrough Synchronization didn't work

I haven't found the settings of Tab Deck.

DONT EVEN BOTHER WITH THIS ONE GUYS!! It doesn't have the ability to process and/or display large saved sessions. First of all, I have 32gb of ram, Intel Core i7-14700K, and an RTX 5070. PLENTY capable of handling resource intense graphics and memory hogging tabs but to begun with your UI is beautiful but its slow, REALLY slow. And choppy and just very irritating to use. And the dealbreaker for me was:, if you saved several large sessions, you wont be able to view them because every time you open the manager and try to click on the saved sessions tab, it just hangs and hangs and hangs and chrome asks if ill wait or exit page...at first i clicked wait and then clicked it another FIFTEEN MORE TIMES!!!. and even THEN, it wouldnt load. so im done. guys, work on your backend coding please.

Data loss has occurred for the second time. The first time all past tab sessions were erased during a one-click collection, and this time it happened a Chrome update. Be very careful with this extension if you're not in the habit of using other third-party backup tools. The developer appears more intent on monetizing it, rather than focusing on the reliability of its core features.

I enabled "close tabs when saving" option to make it behave more like the original OneTab. It "saves" all windows instead of the current one. On top of that only the second window got actually saved so I lost most of the tabs. Additionally it's missing the "Send tabs on the right/left" feature.

You cant save all the windows, you have to do it one by one. Theyre selling subscription and give you 5 session freely. Thats the reason for this im pretty sure. 5 window = 5 session. Predatory

I was experimenting with this and I lost all the tabs and windows in my session except one active window (Some hundred plus tabs)! Very unhappy - now I need to waste time researching the same matters I've researched before. Why are you closing windows and tabs en masse without any warning!! Same issue is reported in other comments. Be careful when testing this and save your session with a proper session manager and export as a hard copy before installing this buggy extension.

I thought it was a very very nice extension until I lost alll my tabs. please be careful if you want to install this app, it only works for few days (or few weeks) then deletes everything. I installed it because grouped tabs wasn't enough for me since I had too many group tabs themselves and I wanted to group the groups hahah and this extension did exactly that. But I gave too much trust and ended up losing hundreds of tabs which I would have rathered them to stay unorganized than to be deleted forever.

Update: Changing back to 1 star, because this product is simply not functional at this stage in its development. I will haveto search for an alternative. I appreciate support reaching out to me after my initaial review. I updated my star rating (1 to 3), and here are the highlights with UPDATED comments 1. Seems unuseabley slow with 4000+ bookmarks -I imported several thousand from my multiple OneTab installs. Apparently I will need to be selective in saving tabs until this limitation is addressed. 2. Slow/no support -several days without a response had me slightly irritated. A simple email autoresponse would have been very helpful. 3. Onetab import did not include dates -OneTab does not export the date, which casuses One Tab Group to assign the date incorrectly. I feel that that is important information, and user should be alerted to that during the import process. 3. Love the UI/features, but I was frustrated by the above issues. I believe this is a great product, apparently still in development, but with great potential.

Cool idea but, It runs super slow! Which makes it unusable

***Update 10/29/25*** Well, I gave it another go, and I'm sadly disappointed again. I had high hopes at first, but after saving a few sessions, it became so slow to load and made my other tabs behave the same way. Before this happened, it was working rather well and gave me what I needed. I started paying for the monthly pro plan, but it slowed down, and now when I open it, it says I am on the basic free plan. I tried to register my serial number again, and it said it wasn't valid. I tried contacting support, and the pages all said that the service had been suspended. Have you given up on the extension, or is there a problem that needs to be fixed? Please respond asap. I think I'm done with this extension. I have tried and tried to use it but invariably it messes up and then I have to scavenge for my lost tabs (and now groups!) in my browsers history. The extension also needs to be updated so that tabs and groups have separate settings. There's no way to prevent my groups from being pulled into a session instead of staying like my pinned tabs do. Also, If you have more than so many tabs in a session it just keeps refreshing over and over. On my other Google profile I lost so many tabs so many times due to the extension either crashing or just not loading at all. Curiously, was the ability to drag and drop tabs to different sessions taken away? That just seems so unintuitive to me. I'm sorry I'm done.

It is stupidly slow at loading my saved tabs as well as saving to new sessions

Becoming less and less reliable. I inadvertently hit the One Tab Group icon and bam! 23 open tabs close. "No problem, right?" That is what it is meant to do. Just go to OTG and restore the tabs. Only they are nowhere to be found. They are gone. Isn't saving tabs the ONE THING that this tool is supposed to do? So now I sit here hitting "Ctrl+Shift+T" 23 times to restore the tabs I was working with. This is not the first time this has happened. OTG has to be one of my worst purchases ever. I asked for a refund right after purchasing because it was not working as expected and I was denied. What a waste of time and money. Save your money! Stay away from this extension! Pretty good when it works. It has been quite unreliable for the past few weeks. Many times I click the extension icon and nothing happens. Syncing between browsers/devices has been sketchy. Wish it was more consistent. Especially for a paid tool. Feels like I wasted a good amount of money on this one. OneTab Plus doesn't have all of the "bells & whistles" (specifically the synchronization across devices), but it is extremely reliable, blazing fast and FREE! For those reasons I am back to OneTab Plus and I'll figure out a way to sync or automate the process across my devices.

too laggy when there are a lot of tabs to load

No longer allows me to drag and drop between sessions/to a new session, so now this extension is useless. Extremely frustrating having to export to something else now.

This new update is much slower than the oldest version of the app, especially if your number of saved tabs increases. Please bring back the oldest version of the app. I used to use this extension constantly, which is especially useful when you have a lot of tabs, but with the new update, if you have a lot of tabs, the interface freezes a lot. Moreover, the user experience of the old version was much better at least we had the dual column feature and could compare saved tabs and see more tabs on a page with a single glance... Please bring back the oldest version of the extension. 🙏🙏🙏

This could be EASILY the best tab management apps. COULD! But it is worser than having no practiability. You rely on the app, and it shows that you saved the tabs. But one restart of the computer and everything ist GONE! Hope this get's a fix, but I saw a lot of new apps are there, I can try. What a pity and wasted potential!

Absolute dogshit unreliable extension. You will randomly lose sessions for no reason. Lost all my saved sessions on MULTIPLE occasions. DO NOT USE IF YOU CANNOT AFFORD TO LOSE SESSIONS. Idk how they expect people to purchase Pro when they can't even get the basics right.

Nice extension. But...if I "pin" the tab for the extension, it will open a new home/index.html tab to the right of all pinned tabs with each browser launch. Those tabs then get saved. So, if you close and open Chrome say 5 times, you will have 5 Tab Deck tabs: 1 pinned, and 4 new Tab Deck tabs to the right of pinned tabs. This just seems really odd to me, as no other tab/group extension or extension of any sort has acted like this. Also, say I have said 5 Tab Deck tabs...the first one (the one I pinned) will take f-o-r-e-v-e-r to load, while the other 4 load almost instantly. This says to me that something about pinning this extension causes issues. I've written the devs via the website but no response in nearly a month, so time to leave a review.....

The extension most likely to crash on me. I usually keep it as a pinned tab and it's so very common (95%) of the time to see that tag is crashed and needs to be reloaded, and reloaded, and reloaded before it actually displays any actual content. When it works, it's great, but I rarely see it actually working. So, I almost never have a valid snapshot of my tabs from any given session.

One tab group is not finnished product. Prolong loading on basic functionality, unreability (i lost my sessions too many times, so frustrtating). User interface is polish and plesent to look at, customisation, main deshboard with emoji icons, keybord shorcuts and ui elements are nicely designed but technical execution and user flow is unffinished and unintiutuve tracking session is must have functionality that is not present at the moment

2025 Update: Still not loading session, after using it for a bit.

Can't people just check the alternatives first before designing their extension and reinventing the wheel all over again? There are multiple extensions that have better functionality in terms of tab management, the best ones so far are tabOS and Partizion. I don't get why can't the developer just add multiple tabs selection feature. Also, all these blur effects are nice but I would like the tab manager to be snappy and fast.

I actually like this extension, but as others have noted -- it will absolutely delete your saved tab sessions for no reason what-so-ever. I can't tell if this is some kind of ploy to get people to buy the pro version, or just a bug, but either way it's obviously a problem that's being ignored. If you want to use this, just make sure to take advantage of the ability yo backup your sessions to json files so you can just reimport them when this issue arises. Two stars till this gets fixed or at least gets an explanation.

Does not preserve Chrome window names, where naming a window is a recent feature added to Chrome. It's because the Chrome Extension API doesn't expose reading/writing of window names, detailed in this Chromium bug: https://issues.chromium.org/issues/40174035

promising extension with some good features and a pretty ui but ... lacks de-duplication ui is a little buggy (elements overlap) cloud sync costs $2.50/month beyond first 4 sessions

The app is good, but its search feature isn't great in its current state. Right now, the list of all my saved sessions looks like a mess, and it's very difficult to find any specific session. It would greatly improve the app if we had the ability to search by session name or tag group name, or with the implementation of a tagging system.

I was using this sucessfully and enjoyed being able to open a set group of tabs when ever i wanted them until today i log into my computer and all my sessions are gone and it was updated to only allow 5 sessions for free. That's fine but no warning and now my groups of tabs that i built are gone and I don't have them all documented. I want to like and use it as it fits my needs but this is just annoying now.

1. not restore pinned tabs from session 2. need option to disable auto creating sessions. i want create them only manually, like folders for my tabs, separated desktops

Although I bought the lifetime version of this plugin, I still love and hate it. I love that it can save groups, being the only plugin that can do so in bulk. I hate that it loses tags and edits, even when synced. I have to find various tricks to solve this. Moreover, when the number of tags exceeds 2000, it takes more than 30 seconds to load even on Macbook M1, and often fails to open the plugin. The developers are very slow and laidback in updating; the cycle from finding a problem to solving it is usually several months to a half year. It’s great to use, but I advise you to be cautious when getting into it, as once you’re in, you won’t be able to get out. I sincerely hope someone will come up with an alternative to this plugin. Edit: MS Edge Browser has introduced the Workspace feature, which allows you to save unfinished tabs in bulk, including Groups, and sync across multiple devices seamlessly without manual syncing. This feature is currently in beta testing and you can find the Workspace flag in the Dev version to enable it.

Complicated and cluttered UI which isn't compact, and it only saves tabs if it's opened in current window.
