AI Exporter: Save ChatGPT, Gemini to PDF, Word, MD and Notion

Took three minutes and only exported the last 1% of the Gemini chat.

keeps saying to login, takes you to a site and you geta code and says you are logged in, but then continues to not work.

It adds a watermark to PDFs. An unwanted logo of the extension AND a link to the extension right IN your exports, at the end of each and EVERY page. This makes the PDF completely unusable and useless. Sad, because if I share a clean PDF with someone, and they're impressed, I'd recommend the extension. But, cluttering my PDF with unwanted florigen links not related to my chats = remove the extension and never use it = no word of mouth recommendations. I'm paying for another extension that works great, but sadly doesn't have one of the AI platforms I'm using. The search continues...

Terrible. Cuts off long conversations. Useless unless you have very short AI interactions.

This extension behaves like malware. Once installed, it is nearly impossible to fully remove. It registers itself as an account-level synced extension (account_extension_type: 2), which means it automatically reinstalls itself every time you restart your browser, even after you manually delete it. Removing it from the extensions page does nothing — it comes right back on next launch. It also requests wildly excessive permissions: host access to every URL you visit (:///*), injects a content script (start.js) on every single page you load, uses declarativeNetRequest to modify your network traffic, and requests access to your cookies, tabs, and storage. These permissions go far beyond what a "PDF exporter" needs. I had to manually delete the extension files, purge references from 3 different browser config files (51 total entries), nuke the sync database, and set a Chromium-level policy blocklist just to get rid of it. No legitimate extension should require this level of effort to uninstall. Do not install this. If you already have, check your browser's sync data — simply clicking "Remove" will not actually remove it.

doesn't respond to support queries via the suggested method (email). I'd happily pay if that motivated them...

I'm very surprised by the positive reviews. This saves an AI chat in a very basic text format, so all the bold formatting, bullet points, emojis, etc, are lost. In addition, this extension can only save a short chat. The internal PDF creator on a laptop or desktop Apple Mac is much more powerful. When you're looking at the AI chat which you wish to save in Google Chrome or any other browser on an Apple laptop or desktop computer, go to the top left corner of your screen, click FILE, then click PRINT, then click DESTINATION: SAVE AS PDF, then click PAGES: ALL, then click LAYOUT: PORTRAIT, then click SAVE. Hello, I’m using your Chrome extension to export conversations into PDF files, and I want to report a serious limitation that needs to be addressed. When I export a chat from Gemini AI, the images in the conversation are completely missing from the resulting PDF. Those images are often essential to the discussion, and without them the exported file is incomplete and, in many cases, unusable for reference or archiving. Please update your extension so that exported PDFs fully include all images that appear in the chat. This is a basic and very important feature for anyone relying on exports for documentation or study. It is surprising that image support was not included from the start. EDIT: I just noticed this in one of my exported chats: "The file is too long and its contents have been truncated." This is a hard limit of 541 items, invisible while exporting the whole chat and only shown when selecting export items. Just cutting the content from chat, without any warning or knowledge that I have a crippled chat backup, is a serious issue and a trust breach, and I have to change my rating from 5 to 1 star until this ridiculous limit is lifted. It's a local export of my IP, and I really don't care about the file size or number of items. Since I don't see any rational tech limits, this is a deliberate lock-in, and therefore unacceptable for any serious work. ----- Great extension, especially after you added image support to PDF export. But I have issues with ChatGPT PDF chat export: - Inconsistent format of my prompts (some as bubbles, some embedded in text) - No timestamps are displayed for any prompts, although I enabled them - Strange/raw, hard to read text blocks formatting and placeholders for all format exports (<PARSED TEXT FOR PAGE: 68 / 123>) - Some images are displayed correctly as images, some as placeholder texts (<IMAGE FOR PAGE: 96 / 123>)

Don't let the "free" price tag fool you. I audited the source code for this extension, and it is a privacy nightmare. Every time you export it scrapes your entire chat history (all your prompts and the AI answers and uploads them to their private servers in China (saveai.net) Worse? They send your data over an unencrypted HTTP connection, meaning anyone on your network can see your "private" conversations. It also hijacks your Notion login cookies instead of using the official API. This is spyware, delete it if you wanna keep your data safe.

Added extension in my Chrome but could not use it from last 15 minutes. could not find how to save chat with use of it

Fantastic thing and also easy. but when the gemini gives me the youtube videos and images it take all over my page and take a huge space in my page so please improve this feature

I would like to give it 5 stars, but the “to image” feature on ChatGPT hasn't been working for two weeks now. It creates large, empty areas. It used to work before. If you fix it, I'll give you 5 stars.

Tapping on "PDF" to save as PDF doesn't do anything. Nothing happens. So I add checkmarks to the entire conversation, and it works. But the PDF looks nothing like the conversation. The words are there, but the formatting is terrible

ChatGPT had changed its domain from chat.openai.com to chatgpt.com

doesn't work for 365 copilot, This does not suit my needs.

In grok chat when selecting custom export to PDF, after selection a conversation and clicking export, it does not work and shows an error "Export failed, please try again later"

Only exported a part of my Gemini conversation, although I made sure to scroll to the top before exporting.

It's buggy for Gemini: 1. Can't export almost half of my chats - says "Please go to chat page". 2. Exports only part of any long chat - not the whole history.

If this extension when working fine i will use this one, but not working well yet. Edit : I saw the problem i have been faced and i can say if i have long chat history i can't choose all chat message one by one chat for downloading process, the extension need settings for as default check all and only chatgpt response.

Seems very good, but I REALLY dislike stuff like this, you said "most features are completely free, including exporting as Markdown, image, TXT, and JSON. PDF export and Notion sync are currently free as well. In the future, we may introduce a small daily free quota for these advanced features." So tell me, if this happens (when this happens) what exactly is NOT an "advanced feature" - ie it seems to imply there will be non-advanced features which will continue to be free, but what will that be? I just don't like shifting goals, they come across as manipulative and deceptive... id rather see a price UP FRONT and decide on whether I should shop elsewhere or not.

Please add Perplexity support. The extension doesn't work on perplexity.ai The structure of the prompt collapses into a wall of text in the markdown export or notion sync. It would be great if it could save it while preserving the shift+ enters, other markdown features and formats. Please check and do the same for the PDF Export. It would be great if PDF export included Images and other file types attached in the prompts or outputs. The export as Image takes a long time, and seems to freeze, hence I fail to export as image, please fix this too.

Worked good with the first several trys for gemini. Tried all export formats. After some trys the pdf export was not formated correctly (missing artifacts). Now the extension seem not to work anymore. I can click anything I want, but nothing happens. I've already removed and reinstalled the extension, but still nothing. Is there some kind of limitation how much or how often I can export? Update: The problem, that I can't use the extension after some trys anymore seemed to be related to my browser. After writing the review the extension worked again - a classic. But the pdf formating is still broken.

The Chat name should be the export file name, not some random number etc.

Quite good for ChatGPT and Gemini, but when exporting from Claude it doesn't distinguish between "You" and "the AI" - it just appends "You Asked" before all messages.
