Description

Copy Unlock removes copy, paste, and text selection restrictions on any website. Many websites block your ability to select text, copy content, or right-click. This makes it difficult to save quotes, reference information, or simply use the web the way it was meant to work. Copy Unlock fixes that with a single click. How it works: Click the Copy Unlock icon in your toolbar. The extension re-enables text selection, copying, pasting, and right-click on the current page. Click again to turn it off. That is the entire workflow. What it handles: CSS-based selection blocking (user-select: none) JavaScript event listeners that prevent copy, paste, cut, and right-click Transparent overlay elements that block text selection Pages that re-apply restrictions dynamically Right-click context menu blocking What makes Copy Unlock different: Works instantly. No configuration, no menus, no settings. Lightweight. Under 50KB. No background processes when inactive. Privacy-first. No data collection. No analytics. No server calls. Everything runs locally in your browser. Reliable. Handles modern protection techniques including MutationObserver-based restrictions that other extensions miss. When Copy Unlock is active on a tab, the icon shows a green "ON" badge. When inactive, there is no badge. You always know the current state at a glance. Copy Unlock does one thing and does it well. No bloat, no unnecessary features, no distractions. Works on news sites, academic papers, documentation, forums, and anywhere else copy protection gets in your way.
