My Apps Secure Sign-in Extension

this doesn't work at all

what is the use of this extension, If I can't search/view it there. It is redirecting back to the MyApplication page along with the searched keyword. This is just a glorified bookmark for now.

1 star because you have to log in into your Microsoft account. While that is true, there is no option for logging in with Google because some schools or computers requires a Google account and many students (in some schools) don't have access or have a Microsoft account. On my side, I'm using a school email and when trying to sign up with that, the sign up page for Microsoft says I cannot use any school emails. This could be different on your side (with a school email) so it may not apply to everybody

Not an app, a shortcut. It's a button with a deceptive "search bar" that loads the sign in dashboard in a new tab, it doesn't display results live.

Useless, don't even bother installing it.

Like a lot of Microsoft offerings as of late this "app" is, well, useless. It does not do anything well (if it does anything at all). I honestly don't see the point of its existence. The "app" it replaced (company decision, not mine) was a little useful. I don't ever use this extension as Chrome has a thing called bookmarks which are way more convenient then clicking a link in the extensions dropdown which takes you to another page to see a list of available links to other pages. Microsoft just blows my mind.

Zero starts! What a horrible system! Doesn't recognise my password, when the password is right. Then I change password and it doesnt recognise teh password again. This has been happening for months and nothing is done.

At this moment, this wont show any app on your list. You click on it and it will open a tab with the myapps URL. Thats not what this app used to be.

Stopped working altogether.

This appears to be a middle-man app, not necessary but someone's getting paid for it. Unfortunately my school app requires this extension.

Polishing a turd would be a better use of your time. This extension only wasted MORE time in an already fruitless effort of figuring out how to enable app passwords despite Oracle's, I mean Microsoft's, cram-it-down-your-throat-our-way "guidance" on application security management.

Total garbage, ought to be removed from the store.

This extension is completely useless now. I've had to add the MyApps URL into Managed Favorites for our company because the extension has essentially because a bookmark but worse because it gives you false hope that it will actually search from within the extension. Please do better Microsoft.

I have opened a support ticket to Microsoft, finally got the following response after months: "The “My Apps Secure Sign-in Extension” for Chrome has been deprecated due to its architecture not meeting Chromium’s security requirements in MV3, particularly concerning remote code execution dependencies. This information was last updated on March 14, 2024. While the extension supported a feature called One-click SSO, it saw low adoption and had a high failure rate. Consequently, the button for this feature has been removed from the application configuration flow of all 100 SAML Gallery applications that supported it. For now, it seems that there will be no further support or updates for the “My Apps Secure Sign-in Extension” for Chrome. Users are advised to refer to online tutorials containing the URLs needed to configure SAML SSO for the applications previously supported by the extension." I believe we can remove this deprecated extension.

as others have said, this extension is useless. does not show recent apps and the search function is useless. PLEASE FIX.

Like others said, the UI for this extension is now useless after the update—you may as well just bookmark your portal URL since autocomplete doesn't work and the extension just takes you to the portal anyways. Looking for an alternative extension that allows quickly searching for an app and launching in a new tab, without having to open the full My Apps portal page...

recent apps not working

Pointless now you can no longer launch an app from the plugin.

Bring back the "recently used apps" from the drop-down, otherwise it's pratically useless the extension.

Another long time user in an IT department that would like the recent apps to come back to the extension drop down. We instructed users to use this as a simple way to access enterprise apps, why would you remove that?

Just adding to the list of dissatisfied users. Bring back the recently used apps from the drop-down, please. Why would such a useful tool be taken away? Who asked for that?

No longer shows recent apps or search without going to the website.

Why would you implement such a useless version of the extension. Broken for over a month now. Broke DNS rewrite No longer can pin 3 favorites Seriously who QA'ed this work!? Stop rebranding stuff and focus on making things better, not worse.

Totaly useless and broken. Best to put the URL myapps.microsoft.com in your favorites. 1 star for This apps is really too much !!

Used to be great, was able to select apps directly from extension. I am surprised Microsoft hasn't looked at the reviews and brought that feature back. Disappointed

Extension is broken since version 8.0.2428.146. Search results will not appear. It will only open the myapps.microsoft.com page, so its useless.

Doesn't work anymore. Kind of useless in it's new form (barely any better than a bookmark to My Apps) if this is indeed the expected behavior.

I hope someone at Microsoft is getting fired over this.

Terrible last update that removed latest apps shortcut.

Horrible update makes it useless in Chrome (no more recent apps). Just a link to an equally horrible My Apps page. Like most things Microsoft "improvements" means more clicking.

It just does not work anymore and is now basically just a shortcut to 'My Apps'. Shame as it was such a useful and well used extension.

Was great until the recent updates. Now it's nothing but a shortcut to MyApps site. Completely useless and can't believe it's been so long without a fix.

Classic example of don't fix what ain't broke. The app would have been a solid 5 stars if they made zero changes to it. The only real utility of this extension is to search your apps quickly. It's a link with an icon right now how tf is that better?

Stopped working weeks ago.

There must have been an update that broke the search and most recent apps. Now it redirects to all "My Apps" which wastes soooo much time. Please fix!

This was good until they removed the recent apps. Now it is useless. Please revert because this *was* super useful.

No longer showing Apps in the extension. It just redirects to the MyApps page now.

As many other people said, this extension no longer shows the apps but simply redirects to MyApps. Please bring the feature back.

it no longer populates the apps as you type and just re-directs you to the myapps page rendering this extension useless

Edit 11/9/23: It's working on edge for me now, but not chrome still. WTH Microsoft! Original review: Pretty darn useful plugin turned useless with the latest update. MS please fix!!

There is zero reason to use this anymore due to search being broken and no recent apps since the latest. Just have the my applications page open in a separate tab and skip installing the extension.

Since the latest update the extension no longer shows recent apps or gives the ability to search. This is basically now just a bookmark to My Apps portal.
