doesnt work on chrome at all. use firefox
Why is there no Tumblr blacklist? Bring back the old version of Xkit!
The only reason I'm writing this is that Chrome's update has prevented New X-kit 7.9.2 from working in my current browser. I'm completely devastated at having lost it - I relied so much on using the New X-kit for my Tumblr experience, that now attempting to relearn all of these things, many of which are unavailable, is incredibly disheartening. Why bring out a new product that does not include the same features as the old one? Given that it's the only option, I guess it's better than nothing, but given how great the product was that we had before, that's not saying much. PS - Can't we have the 'Old Blue' feature back again? Or anything for the backgrounds of the dashboard? You know...the ones that New X-kit had? Staring at this garish black screen is horrible for my eyesight.
This is my least favorite of all of the versions of xkit. I don't understand why the replacement for new xkit is not as good. new xkit was better than the previous xkit, but this one falls short in several ways and the only reason I'm still using it is because they've made the better version unavailable for good. It's better than regular Tumblr, but such a disappointment in the world of xkit.
I was under the impression that this extension was better than xkit or new xkit. But I actually get more functionality out of new xkit at the moment. But when Tumblr made the erroneous decision to change the look of the dashboard to basically be Twitter... Everyone was saying how xkit rewritten fixed this and reverted the look. But it doesn't. I'll download this extension periodically to check and it doesn't do what I wanted. The panorama option doesn't actually change anything, I'll select it, refresh the page, close and open chrome again and tumblr still looks the same as it always does. Even if panorama wasn't supposed to change it back, it doesn't actually do anything anyway. Posts and the dashboard are still very much compact, like nothing changed.
I'd like this more and keep using it if the tracked tag function worked for me. Tried in two different browsers (Opera and Chrome) and they just don't show up in the sidebar. Tried with *just* tracked tags being enabled and nope. I'm sticking with the not-maintained-anymore newxkit as I've had *zero* issues with it continuing to work. Uninstalling this version as tracked tags is the #1 thing I want to have working. Also refreshing the tumblr dashboard causes hidden recommended stuff on the sidebar to briefly flicker in/out of view. newxkit doesn't do that to me, so another strike against this version.
I used to love XKit, I had it downloaded for Tumblr so I could actually edit posts. But I cannot do that at all whatsoever on any post anymore. 3 stars because it was great when it worked.
I LOVE New Xkit, wish it has a tag blacklist feature like Tumblr Savior or the old Xkit does. Also for some reason when enabled it doesn't work along side Tumblr Savior and shows tags that I've tried to hide.
Gonna be honest, if XKit Rewritten had a legitimate Tag Blacklist function, it would be a home run of a replacement. As it stands, it doesn't, so I find whatever features it could offer generally lacking in all areas since New XKit stills works and has what I need alongside Tumblr Savior.
I can't get the Mass Deleter function to work. I would like to clear out all my drafts, but I am unable to. The "next" button refuses to do any input. Otherwise it's a pretty neat extension.
