Dosn't mute the ad despite being described and even named as if it does. Only skips it.
doesn't do anything
As of 6th June 2025 this appears to do exactly nothing more than an icon in the extenstions area. Does not mute, does not skip.
Sounds good, doesn't work...
Does not do anything.

Does not work.
Updated 14 Jun 2024 It's been a month and this extension stays useless... Uninstalled and switched to another extension Updated 5 May 2024 Stopped working again... Updated 26 Apr 2024 Working again, great! 24 Apr 2024 Worked, but not anymore
doesnt do anything
Broken now and the youmute overlay in the corner should be removed
it does mute and blur ads but does not skip anything and makes it impossible to do so because it hides the skip button. it also adds a really annoying banner at the bottom left corner with no option to disable it.
Does not work. Sometimes blurs out and never mutes.
Muting does not work as of the date of writing this review. Also having mute and skip blundled together with no option of choosing just one is pretty douchey.
No longer works unfortunately, could be something changed on youtube or chromium's end, no idea, the only thing this extension does now is auto mute the ads, no fading out or skipping.
Still broken as of 6/16/24
This used to work, sadly it does not work at all anymore. Please fix it and I will edit my review :D
Mutes ads but doesn't skip please update this extension
First ad is muted, second ad in a row doesn't mute. It is not working as it says.
Was great, no longer works as of 2024-05-30 Hoping it will get fixed
As of May 13th, 2024, this extension seems to be out of order, again. I often find it irritating to reflexively mute advertisements, and I especially hate how often they just show up without warning, so this extension is a must-have for me. At the same time, it is a bit overkill that this extension has the chance to automatically skip advertisements entirely instead of just muting them and skipping them after five or fifteen seconds.
Great extension, but unfortunately stopped working as of Feb 10th, 2024
It's not working anymore for me. Hoping a fix update.
Thank you for this amazing tool! Sadly I here to inform that the 0.2.0 version has stoped skipping ads.
Used to work great, as of a couple days ago it stopped muting and skipping ads, and instead makes ALL ads unskippable. Pretty much just makes things worse, which is a shame. If it gets updated I'm sure it will work again.
It's no longer working as it used, today it stoped skipping the ads and doesn't allow me to click on skip myself, please fix that
Doesn't work anymore
This app was great when it worked, but it seems like YouTube has started cracking down on all ad blockers and muters. YouTube literally will not let you mute ads anymore even though you're still technically watching them...
It's good when it works. Sadly it doesn't *always* work. I'd say it works like 40% of the time. Also when it does work, it adds a little overlay to the bottom of the page that I can't turn off and shows up even with videos on fullscreen.
Doesn't seem to be able to mute ads currently. It does skip them properly. I hope that it will catch up to Youtube's changes sooner or later, and will keep it installed for now.
It worked for a long time but has recently stopped skipping ads. I assume youtube updated something to make it so it can't anymore. This is a darn shame because this extension was great for a long time. It'll sit at some ads that are 3+ min and won't skip them. Sad trumpet noise
It is like a different version of adblock. Some ads almost don't even appear. There are options but they are very limited. If you just want ads to be silent and nothing more, this extension is not for you. I wonder if I could even support creators I like while using this.
ok
