It uses disgusting archaic voices to read text aloud.
two words; HATED IT.
its a bloody dumb extention needs to sign in to use this extention and its paid.
No free ocr trial
Does not work, why do I need a account? I just want a readruler on my screen, but it just asks me for my personal information.
Even when one pays money, the premium features do not work. I received a message directly after I signed up for the trial that my trial had expired. How is the possible? Because I was particularly interested in the rulers and text-to-speech features I went ahead and paid the money. I have the confirmation of payment email from Google to prove it, yet I am unable to use those features. Your app is still asking for money. Please rectify this situation.
If everything is only in pro version then you don't you mention it in overview. It can't even read more than 2300 words.
The area to select/change accounts is blank. I can't change accounts to the one I set up premium with. Other than that, great features on the free side.
I'm looking at assistive technologies for a grad class I'm taking. I wanted to see this compared to Dyslexie, so I clicked on the free trial to install it. After it put the owl at the end of my address bar, I clicked on it and it said my trial was over; Upgrade for $2.99! How could it be over? It never even started! I went to another open tab, clicked on the owl again, clicked to apply OpenDyslexic, then chose Font and enabled the font. It worked, but like another reviewer said, I could now only see the first 2/3rds of the page because the text now extends past the right margin. Can you fix these issues? I have a few students that I may want to help get this and use it, but only if it's reliable for them. They don't need anymore confusion in their lives. Thank you.
I've paid for the full version, which ended up being £3.19 not the advertised £2.99, and the extension is still asking me to pay! Help!
The text to speech is good but doesn't seem to work for Libby eBooks.I don't see why speach to text is a premium feature when you can get it for free from an open source app like Futo, that's privacy respecting.I couldn't adjust the speed to 50% it was either 40 or 60% which is odd (but I do appreciate slower speeds which are helpful for listening in other languages, slow brain processing etc...) I couldn't customize the list of features I want to easily access them when clicking the extension.Had to reload pages a couple of times when getting an error and eventually it did TTS.Initially the voice I selected didnt save, but selecting it again worked. Also,it works on Linux unlike other TTS that require Windows voices and so far no need to pay for extra voices.
Please add fonts that look like OpenDyslexic but support Cyrillic alphabet!! Also, the possibility to remove a pre-set action I don't need from the quick actions menu would be nice. Overall, the pop-up of this extention itself looks more cluttered and distracting than a lot of websites.
Too much Pro mode and too expensive
teh word spacing and highlight tools were my favorite things about this extension! i would give it a better review, but this extension actually ruins some websites completely. it makes the text appear in random places and, in tunr, makes it extremely difficult to read. i wish i could keep using it, but this has ruined it for me. please try to fix this bug.
Well the one thing I wanted most to try from this (the ruler) and the second most wanted thing (the overlay) are both paid features, so I guess I'm moving on.
This is a great concept and I love the described* features. However, many of the features can only be accessed via the premium version. I downloaded the extension for Chrome as I thought it would be most helpful when reading long articles or pdf's sent to me. However, the software is slow and clunky. The text to speech function which was the main draw for me along with coloured overlays; is slow and difficult to use as it keeps only reading the first line of highlighted text. I would have been tempted to pay for the pro version had it worked efficiently, but alas I don't want to waste money on something that seems not to function well in practice.
Asking to sync my Chrome user to unlock more function....I don't want to sync between different devices, so I can never log in :(
İ cant listen in my language , i cant use same google translate with ctrl +c and ctrl+v. I need in same page right click read for me (i want to listen Turkish language)
I'm a dyslexic university student and I'm toying with whether to pay for this every month or not. My issue is that when I want to use it for my written assignments (using google doc) the writing goes off the document and so I can only read the first 2/3rds of every line... Is there any way of changing this? If not, I'll keep my money and struggle on, I guess. Other than that, this extension seems amazing so if that doesn't bother you, I say go ahead and get it!
why should people have to pay for an extension that used to be free, because they find it very hard to read without?
It works until you go to type something; then it changes font.
