Model selection per provider so you can choose the best model for each task. Use the current page as context Extracts the main content of the active tab using Mozilla Readability. Converts HTML to clean Markdown (headings, lists, code blocks, etc.) with GitHub‑style formatting. Detects content type (article, documentation, code, social, e‑commerce, other) and attaches useful metadata (title, URL, description, author, site, dates). Option to send either the whole page or just the currently selected text to the assistant. Attach multiple tabs at once Open the tab selector and attach content from several tabs in one go. Each attachment includes its title, URL, word count, and content so the AI can reason across many sources (e.g. multiple docs, PRs, or articles). Conversation history & organization Automatic conversation titles generated from your first message. Full chat history stored in Chrome’s local storage. Sidebar History view for browsing, selecting, and resuming past conversations. Smart memory and long‑context handling Configurable chat memory: max tokens, max messages, and reserved space for responses. Automatically trims older messages to fit within the context window. Optional automatic summarization of older parts of the conversation so the model keeps context without blowing the token limit. Visual memory indicator showing estimated tokens, message count, and whether a summary is in use. Per‑provider settings & Straico account info Settings page to pick your active provider and manage API keys or connection settings. For Straico, shows account information (e.g. plan/coins) when an API key is configured. Helpful error messages for invalid keys, rate limits, and local Ollama connectivity issues. Designed for productivity & developers Great for reading docs, summarizing articles, reviewing code, drafting emails, or analyzing product pages. Code-friendly output with highlight.js GitHub theme. Keyboard support for quick sending (Enter to send, Shift+Enter for new line). Security & permissions (optional section) Your API keys stay in your browser – stored using chrome.storage.local. Uses activeTab, tabs, and a content script to read page content only when you request it (for attaching pages or selections). Host permissions cover the AI services you connect in the extension’s settings, including hosted APIs and local models. Changelog: Added web search with DuckDuckGo and Google fallback. Added agentic mode for automated multi-step actions. Added internal custom instructions for tailored responses. Enhanced UI/UX: smoother chat experience and improved navigation.
