Description

PinPoint lets you attach sticky notes to specific elements on any webpage — not just the URL, but the exact button, paragraph, heading, or image you're thinking about. Close the tab. Reopen it next week. Your note is still there, anchored to the exact element you pinned it to. ────────────────────────────────────── ✦ WHY PINPOINT IS DIFFERENT ────────────────────────────────────── Every other sticky note extension attaches notes to a URL. PinPoint attaches notes to the actual element on the page. That means if you pin a note to a specific paragraph in a news article, a button in a web app, or a product on an e-commerce site — it stays on that exact element. Not floating somewhere on the page. On it. ────────────────────────────────────── 🔒 COMPLETELY PRIVATE. ALWAYS. ────────────────────────────────────── PinPoint stores everything in your browser's local IndexedDB. Nothing is ever sent to any server. There is no account to create. There is no cloud sync. There is no company reading your notes. Your notes are yours. Period. ────────────────────────────────────── ⚡ FEATURES ────────────────────────────────────── 🎯 Element-level anchoring Notes attach to the specific DOM element you click — not the page, not the URL. The note follows the element. ✏️ Instant pick mode Press Alt+Shift+N (or click the toolbar icon), then click any element to instantly attach a note. 🔗 Visual connector line A line draws from your note back to its anchored element so you never lose the context. 🎨 4 note colors Yellow, blue, green, pink — organize by topic, urgency, or project at a glance. 🖱️ Draggable notes Reposition any note anywhere on screen. Position is saved automatically. 📋 Popup dashboard See all notes for the current site in one place. Click any note to jump straight to its element. 🔄 Auto re-attachment Notes survive dynamic page reloads and single-page app (SPA) navigation via MutationObserver. 💾 Zero permissions bloat PinPoint only requests what it needs. No reading your browsing history. No accessing other tabs. ────────────────────────────────────── 💡 PERFECT FOR ────────────────────────────────────── - Researchers annotating sources and references - Developers leaving reminders on specific UI elements - Writers tracking edits across long articles - Product managers annotating live websites for feedback - Students highlighting and noting study material - Anyone who wishes they could paste sticky notes inside their screen ────────────────────────────────────── 🔐 PRIVACY PROMISE ────────────────────────────────────── PinPoint collects zero data. No analytics. No telemetry. No third-party scripts. Open source and fully auditable. All notes are stored exclusively in your browser using IndexedDB and are automatically deleted if you uninstall the extension.
