Hate Medium paywalls ruining your reading vibe? I did too, so I built Readium, a Chrome extension that instantly flags premium articles before you click Saves time, spares frustration, and yeah… it’s completely free. About Readium: 📰 Readium – Instantly Detect Medium Premium Articles Tired of clicking on Medium articles only to discover halfway through that they’re locked behind a paywall? Readium saves your time and frustration by letting you know before you start reading. 🔍 What is Readium? Readium is a lightweight, smart browser extension that automatically detects whether a Medium article is a Member-only (premium) story or freely accessible. It provides real-time visual cues to prevent you from wasting time on articles you can’t finish without a subscription. Whether you're a casual reader or someone who heavily relies on Medium for learning and inspiration, Readium ensures your reading journey stays smooth and uninterrupted. 🚀 Key Features ⚡ Fast Detection Readium instantly analyzes the Medium page you’re visiting and identifies if the content is behind a paywall. No loading delays or unnecessary background operations—just immediate feedback. 🔔 Visual Alerts When you open a premium Medium article, Readium displays a clear, non-intrusive banner at the top of the page, warning you that it’s a Member-only story. No more surprise interruptions halfway through! 🏷️ Badge Indicator The extension’s toolbar icon displays a dynamic “PRE” badge whenever you’re viewing premium content. A quick glance tells you everything you need to know. 🌐 Google Search Integration Readium intelligently augments your Google search results by labeling known Medium premium articles before you even click. Save time by choosing accessible links directly from search. 📊 Article Statistics Track how many premium articles you've encountered with Readium's built-in statistics panel. Understand your reading habits and optimize your browsing over time. 🧼 Clean and Simple UI Readium was built with clarity and ease-of-use in mind. The interface is minimalist, intuitive, and stays out of your way unless you need it. 💡 Why Install Readium? • Save Time: No more clicking into articles only to be met with paywalls halfway in. • Improve Productivity: Focus on content you can actually finish reading. • Stay Informed: Choose what you read based on accessibility, directly from search. • Streamlined Browsing: With seamless Google integration and real-time alerts, Readium enhances your online reading experience without the bloat. 🛠️ How it Works Once installed, Readium automatically activates on Medium.com and Google Search. Thank you for taking time and creating this! But I found one little bug, the extension does not work when I try to open medium articles from the Home page of Medium.
