Description

URL Blocker gives you precise control over which websites can be accessed in your browser. Define URL patterns, block unwanted destinations at the network level, and optionally capture block events for audit or debugging purposes. The extension is built on Chrome’s Manifest V3 declarative rules engine to ensure performance, security, and compliance. Key Features Pattern-based URL blocking using Chrome’s native network rules Instant enforcement without page interception or content inspection Optional tab auto-close on blocked requests Optional reporting of blocked events to a user-configured endpoint All configuration stored locally on the user’s device No ads, no tracking, no monetization How It Works The extension evaluates outgoing requests against user-defined rules and blocks matching URLs before the request completes. This approach avoids performance overhead and does not access page content or user credentials. Reporting is disabled by default and can be enabled explicitly by the user. When enabled, only minimal metadata related to blocked requests is sent to a server specified by the user. Privacy and Data Usage No browsing history is collected No personal data is transmitted by default No third-party analytics or trackers Reporting is fully optional and user-controlled Intended Use Cases Productivity and focus enforcement Parental or organizational controls Testing and debugging URL access behavior Custom policy enforcement for web access
