Spades Card Game

too easy

badly programmed card game which offers nothing new except the characters with disturbingly large, black eyes. i think i'll pass

this game sucks the computer partner is stupid cant count and alsways overbids does not assist in nil bids poor programming go back to school idiot

monkey always overbids, guy on left cheats by not following suit, scoring is inconsistent with winning hands counting negative. Not a good game for these reasons. I won 5 of 6 games but had to underbid bc of monkey partner.

takes points away when you get your bid. partner almost always won't catch if the person to my right has it caught. will play his trump if the person to my left has it caught(if the person to my right plays the ace partner plays the king) you have to bid low because of this which means when you or your partner actually has a hand that you set the other team and it deducts points. and it seems to always freezes my computer.

the programer doesn't know much about the game. All the comments are totally accurate, I wish there was a good spade computer game to play as I'm not fond of people swearing.

I bid Nil, my computer partner played underneath my 8 of clubs with a 6 of clubs, then the next round proceeded to play a Jack of Clubs. Very bad programming, that is obviously not a mistake even a beginner would make. I erased the ap immediately as it will only cause frustration. I also noticed the AI is very dumb as an opponent as well. I set it three times in a row quite easily. (not bragging, I am an average player)

The computer partner has very little card-playing smarts and that gets really annoying.

Do not play this game! The hands are unrealistically biased toward you opponent. And as for your partner, well, you might as well not even have one. Whoever designed this game needs to be taken out and shot!

Terrible, irrational game play by the computer player

Monkey still does not know how to play. It made 4 huge errors in two hands causing us to go set both times. How frustrating. Don't waste your time with this. TEACH THE MONKEY HOW TO PLAY THE GAME!!!

AI doesn't cover partner when bidding nil properly.

This is a joke of a Spade game. Half the time I just bid Nil knowing the other three will let me get it as long as I don't have the A-Spade.

Bids and gameplay are poorly set up. No way to change strength of computer players.

It doesn't seem that your parter (monkey) is playing WITH you. Its all players for themselves. Monkey never seemed to understand how to play with partner to win books. Monkey gave the books away!

Literally the worse spades logic I have ever encountered for both the partner and the computer opponent. I am shocked this got 4/5 overall.

This game is completely lame...it's like playing cards with my brothers kids. My partner didn't slough spades when I had bid nil--three times. Uninstalling now.

The monkey is a horrible partner! Ruined the game for me. He botched a Nil hand and I instantly lost interest.

Fairly poor programming. If spades haven't been broken, and it's your turn to lead and you only have spades left in your hand, it won't let you play! In other words, the game practically freezes! The lack of any options is frustrating. No difficulty settings, no changing characters, no turning off the irritating sound effects, no option for double (blind) nill or ten-for-two or anything else. Otherwise the AI is pretty terrible. A few times when I bid nill and was about to take the trick, a computer opponent would cover me, despite not needing to. Your "monkey" partner overbids too frequently and is horrible at covering your nills. I could go on and on really. Not for serious Spades players by any stretch.

The AI in this game is horrid. It has no idea how to hold back kings to take tricks, and it can't cover a nil for anything. The opposing team got set more than I did, since they were both AI, but I it was still a two-step-forward one-step-back situation. No fun at all for someone who actually knows how to play.

It is okay for a free game. However it feels as if your partner is a 6 year old espceically if you bid nil and they actually set you up to fail rather than covering for you. I would rather the challenge come from better opposition rather than an erratic, harebrained partner. There is also a serious glitch with this game if you are to lead and only have spades in your hand and they have not been broken the game is stuck. It is as if the designer does not really play this game or comprehend it beyond the most basic level.

Most of the comments from previous reviewers said what I would have said. The Monkey holds cards that should/could have been played earlier in the game; does not protect me when it has the right cards, etc. Very frustrating.

That dumb monkey will have the ace in his hand and not play it until 2nd or 3rd round and often it gets cut. The monkey also throws off high cards before making his bid. The monkey usually bids too high and cannot make bids w/out my save.

AI could be smarter with its choices

I had a nil bid, but no protection from my partner. opponents use their highest spades even when they don't have to.

The Monkey is stoooopid. He overbids, he plays low cards to lose tricks early when he is holding high cards of same suit, he'll trump with Ace of Spades early instead of low spade, and on and on. I have to bid 2-3 less than I think I can get to compensate for the dumb monkey. It's like playing with my 2 year old.

This game really ticks me off!!! What is wrong with the programmer? He has to be a liberal because they hate to see people win. Every time my partner didn't protect me, I closed out of the game just to find out that I experienced it 4 times in a row. I hate this game and do not have any respect to the programmer because they don't have our best interest in mind. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR PASS ON DOWNLOADING THIS GAME, YOU WILL BE VERY DISAPPOINTED AND FRUSTRATED WITH THE PROGRAMMER WHO WROTE THE PROGRAM!!!!!!

The computer partners do "stupid" things. Like, throwing a low card when you bid nil, or taking your ace with a spade; things a human partner wouldn't do. Sometimes it lets the other team have a trick that it could have taken, and NEEDS.

Doesn't have joker, wild deuces or the ability to change the settings.

The players are so stupid they don't understand the logic of the game or how to play their cards to benefit their partner. Who ever developed the software must not understand the strategy of the game.I give it a 2 out of the generosity of my heart.

No option to change female player into male. A.I. is terrible. Partners inability to bid properly effects game play . Hint for creator, When playing spades if partner already has book don't trump, throw off, it is a legal move. No reason to take a book I've counted.
