forced account creation
I agree w many others: a total piece of sh*t!!!!!
It is the worst APP I have ever tried to use! Save about 30 minutes and look for another app because you will do it anyways.
after uploading it .. installing it.. wont access files... does not show on menus to share files with.. to open with... not intuitive to use... gonna have to uninstall after wasting aprox forty mins... annoyed
Not very useful. Has to link to a google account, and then doesn't even pick up on the files I need.
just want to open a file not link accounts to you
Absolute rubbish, how do you uninstall it.
Needs an account
oauth login fails every time
Wanna open files you have locally? LOL TOO BAD GET TO UPLOAD THEM TO GOOGLE DRIVE
all i ask is a way to open tar ball files not some bs on creating a account. get off your profile bs plz
Worst app ever. Couldnt open the tar file that I needed. Asked me to register. Wish there were other archive opening apps
Only app that worked with Chromebook, but the interface was so terrible (multiple popups) with ZERO instructions, that I eventually gave up... And I consider myself pretty savvy when it comes to computers. This app is a total waste of time, seriously.
poor signup required before previewing features
Horrible. Constantly locks up. Download Linux and make your Chromebook a "real" laptop.
I give up. I am unable to extract a simple .png from an .rar file on this thing. I'll just get a PC computer, instead of going through an infuriating process such as this.
makes you create an account, had to give access an cloud hard drive. Never extracted file properly. Did not work. Do not recommend using.
It was confusing and offered no tutorial help at all
0/10 would not recommend
Makes you sign in with an account, and even if you're willing to do that, it doesn't work. wish I could give this 0 stars >:(
Requires you to sign in with a social media account. WTF?!?!?! I'm uninstalling it immediately.
doesnt work on chromebook
uninstalledd
Awful, requires a new account set up and access to your cloud storage and personal info. uninstalled.
im trying get crouton not junk
RollApp is an additional speed-bump to set up, and its own documentation is outdated and incomplete. Plus, I really don't like granting another service access to my account data just to open RAR files from Chrome OS. What really turned me off to this is that it's ultimately a Linux app under the hood, and it extracts files into dot-folder and symlinks them to the target destination. This is really sloppy in Chrome OS, which does not ignore dot-folders. You'll have to manually clean up extracted files. If you don't know what a symlink IS, then that's really going to be disorienting. Just not clean for a Chrome OS install. For anything else, find a better installed client.
Kinda sucks, but if you have a Chromebook, then this is the only App I am aware of that lets you open password-protected archives, so no matter how annoying it is it's kind of a must have. For now.
Can someone help me get past the "sign in" screen when you first buy it? I'm clicking the google button, and it's not working.
Quite strange feeling. Sometimes works perfectly, sometimes not at all.
It's Ok, but doesn't make impression as desktop app.
