any news on the update? extension is unusable right now

The extension is frozen in a weird state. Non of the top row buttons are responsive. Impossible to use anymore.

This extension is super broken. I tried doing a fresh install to get rid of the "join randomly open and closes a new tab" bug, but after re-installation, the Join extension can't do anything. None of the buttons work. It's useless until this gets fixed.

I am a long-time user of this extension. For a year or more now, this extension is about 5% as useful as it was before. After clicking on the icon extension, all the 6 options are greyed out. The top half of the drop-down window is reserved for the call/SMS or something that cannot be configured to make it go away because I don't use it. There is no place to get any support. The last post in the support forum was in 2021. I'd been waiting patiently for any update, but nothing.

I have been a fan for as long as this app is published, but recently there is an exception that is ongoing, João you need to fix this quick.

Joao, has there been any change in your knowledge about this? I installed Brave Browser since it went online and Join didn't have any problems, today it's no longer the case. Can we make it work normally? Sincerely, Pierre

crashes chrome until you can figure out how to disable the extension. took me over 30 minutes just to disable the extension due to constant browser crashes.

Not working. My device does not even see the extention.

Worked great, during the trial period. Stopped working and syncing shortly after I paid for it. Removing after reading thru hours of support page guidance. Back to buggy, but stable, MightyText! *Sigh*

The popup window shows a yellow bar even though it's set to blue, clicking the 3 dots overflow settings menu icon to open the settings page then closing it and clicking the extension icon to open the popup fixes it for a minute or so, but then it breaks again a few minutes later, sometimes even sooner. While it's broken it can't send/share anything, and when you highlight something and right-click on any webpage and try to use the Join context menu, it just silently fails, sometimes works sometimes not for incoming content. This is making the extension not very useful overall, and I've noticed this occurring since shortly before the mandatory Manifest V3 requirement, I was hoping it would be fixed shortly, but that doesn't seem to have been the case.

Join was never 100% reliable, but it used to work pretty well most of the time, and when it worked, it was awesome. However, it stopped working for me for SMS months ago, and I never figured out how to get it working again. I wrote the the Dev and never got a response, so I've given up and uninstalled it. Even when it worked, it took a fair amount of effort to get it set up. Not to say this is the dev's fault - I'm sure changes to Windows and android have made this difficult. There are very few options that allow you to use your Android app of choice and still sync to a PC. I'm trying pushbullet now and so far it seems to work quite well.

I paid for, and have used this app for a few years. It worked fine until recently. Now when I receive an sms pop up I can't see the bottom of the text where I would type my reply. I'm not the only one, per the support page. It's been several weeks now and they've done nothing to fix it. I rarely pay for apps, so when I do and they don't work correctly and don't bother fixing it, it really makes me mad. FIX THE PROBLEM!

Not getting alerts of new text messages. It used to work. What's the issue? Anyone else facing this?

Did what it said it would but the issues that come with it were not worth the monthly savings. By far the biggest issue I had with it was my side of text message conversation did not appear on my phone, only on the plugin. That makes it nearly impossible to remember where you were in a conversation or if you had replied to an older text that still showed as unread on your phone, but you had actually read and responded via the chrome extension. When you are using this for business purposes, that is simply not acceptable.

When it works it's great but more times than not sync just spins and spins. SMS doesn't sync and requires me to reinstall the extension. Looking for alternatives.

The sms features are inconsistent. At times they work as expected. Other times they get stuck sending forever. Sometimes they go through, other times they don't. This product needs to be polished.

Unable to use get 403 forbidden errors sending files to myself despite using the same google accounts on phone, pc and chrome. Also there's no way to use different google accounts and there's no way to link the devices together unless they're all on the same google account.

Promising app. But Joao, please adjust the permissions requested by the extension. It makes no sense to ask to access all my files.

I was looking for a replacement for pushbullet which is no longer supported. Join is a bit tricker to use. There is quite a lag between a text on my phone and it showing up via the extension. What I wanted was to use my laptop to type texts rather than my phone. And I frequently send files to my phone or tablet. The UI was hard for me to get used ot. But the reason I'm no longer going to use it is ALL the many files it adds to my google drive. Every morning about 2/3 of my google drive screen would be join files. For that reason, I'm not going to bother trying to get used to the UI.

Please update this extension. It is being labeled "This extension is no longer available because it doesn't follow best practices for Chrome extensions."

Originally used it bought it but then somehow I never used it because I found it to be too cumbersome. Also I needed less and less rely on SMS (one of the reasons why I got it originally) and didn't work reliably for Clipboard Sharing, Remote Writing, Taking Screenshots on Devices and sending files. So while I am not too happy about reading that now it would be removed due to not being MV3 compliant, it'd be a loss for those who were using it as paying customers. Hopefully the dev won't drop the ball here :)

Device name is "undefined" on Edge. Doesn't appear in the list of devices after logging in.

This is especially good if you have tasker. If you don't it's still very usable but tasker is worth the money just for use with this alone. THE ONE PROBLEM IS: I use it on a chromebook & the name changes on it's own frequently, so when I try to send something from my phone I have to open the settings on this to find the name. It would be a 5⭐ extension if not for this.

Why does it want my PHYSICAL LOCATION and READ MY BROWSING HISTORY??

i have a tiny problem i do not know how to register my browser (Brave) it does not show any buttons to register

Doesn't work with Brave so I had to minus a star. I can't leave Pushbullet without Brave/Chromium support.

It works... most of the time. I guess this is the best alternative to Airdrop/Handoff for non-Apple devices. It does have a lot of features. User experience could be better. I wish there was an option to change or at least disable the notification sound.

Successfully connected phones and PC's as messages are sent and we get push notifications, however, on the 2 Android devices we cant see where to find and reply to messages other than when the push notification arrives and we choose "reply directly". After we reply we can no longer find the messages.

Hope support for Edge Chromium will come. Currently it doesn't work on Edge Chromium.

Great extension but isn't syncing properly. Refresh icon is constantly animating and messages I've sent/received on my phone while Chrome has been closed don't show up in the extension.

Crashed Chrome v61.0.3163.100 on Mac OS High Sierra.

Use to work really well now it does nothing with this error: Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'Symbol(Symbol.iterator)' of null at generateHideDevicesOptions (options.js:258) at HTMLDocument.<anonymous> (options.js:269) UPDATE: After uninstalling and reinstalling six or seven times it works perfect now

The chrome extension doesn't provide full support for emoji.

This extension rarely works perfectly. I am finding myself having to remove it and add it back in order for any of my sms's to update. I have to do this at least once every couple of weeks which is a little ridiculous. Kind of makes me wish I had gone with another alternative to pushbullet.

I cannot find a way (if it is possible) to show past notifications...once the popup has gone no way to retreive what's in there... if it's possible to get back historical notifications I will give 5 stars. Thanks

It would be great to turn sound off for notifications from specific applications. It would be great if you can make header a little bit narrower and decrease the size of icons and font

I like the functionality of it, but the design/interface is pretty bad for this extension. The text size is very large and sending sms's seems to be a little buggy. I think we should be able to customize the text size or maybe even the color scheme too. Also being able to dismiss notifications after they are read on the device would be a helpful feature vs having to clear it from the extension each time

SMS notifications never dismiss. Several other UX issues.

Works okay but still has some flaws. Chrome always asks me to name this device. It's been the same one all along. Closing two naming windows everytime I open Chrome is super annoying.

Suggestions/issues: - Ability to see all the things I've pushed from the Chrome extension? - Notification # indicator should go away if I open the extension and look at them (but not clear them) - Getting 2 notification popups for SMS (one generic SMS, and one from my contact) - Opening SMS tab in the extension, the scroll bar is always in the middle, not the bottom showing the newest message - Ability to configure time format? I don't use 00:00 - Contact photos are extremely pixelated

Notifications aren't coming through.

User interface has a lot to be desired, looks a bit messy. Also I have to sign-in every time I restart Chrome which is a PITA.

It keeps asking me to sign in every time I close chrome or restart my computer. Very annoying because I have to use the authenticator every time.
