why change from gemini to prompt optimizer ?

why cant use gemini extension it was very useful , gemini saying there is an icon something like that now ,but cant see nothing, I HAVE LAST VERSION CHROME!

Used this as the only functioning Gemini in Chrome since the original Website version can't even run PRO without Chrome freezing and dying over it. Today it changed into a Prompt Editor only after working fine this morning, no Gemini anymore which is useless as heck for me, because now I am forced to use Firefox to run Gemini without constant browser crashes. And since we in Germany do not have the Gemini sidepanel in Chrome yet or ever, because... AI phobia or whatever... I'm pretty much annoyed...

I have installed this as "Google Gemini sidebar", but today, it surprisingly changed. I don't need it anymore.

Why cant Gemini see my tabs now? what just happened???

Floating button sucks. It's just Gemini loaded in a sidebar: keep it simple people.

how do I remove that floating button? I already have it in my extension, why do I need a floating button?

Microphone now working. Clicking on microphone icon gives error - "Unable to access the microphone. Please check settings."

This is not built by Google and none of the functions are working. :(

Well, this used to work, except now in addition to other users' problem of adding 2options for the sidebar that don't maintain text (pointless and time consuming) there is no text box available on the sidebar. The extension has become unusable.

The latest update's right-click icon now first brings up a search bar, which then transitions to Gemini. This user experience feels really poor. If possible, please allow users to choose whether to enable this feature. If this request can be met, I will leave a high rating.

Does not work with Arc browser

There's a huge disconnect between what we see in the news / media regarding AI, and the reality. Or, the versions of the services we're getting are being massively restricted. How can it be true that everyone should fear for their jobs, yet Gemini can't move emails to a folder based on the content... As for not being able to see content of the page, it makes it completely irrelevant as an extension. It's a bit like getting an extension on your house that isn't attached to your house. Then there's the inability to retain information about previous conversations or the user. Google probably know how many times a day I drink tea, but the service they're selling me can't remember what I asked it 10 minutes ago? We're being sold a lemon, and it's by design.

I liked the extension, but I just removed it as i got a waring from my chrome browser thatit violated the Chrome Web Store policy.

I use Gemini about 20-30 time in a hour , at least about 150-300 time in a day and thought this will save me lots of minutes / hour. But , instead , shortcut loading gemini take about 2-3 seconds! and what worse , I cannot type immediately when gemini open , so I have to manually click chat box again which take another 2 seconds ! so even more time consuming than Gemini chrome shortcut and put it on taskbar

Gemini AI voice is extremely annoying and prompts despite I don't use Gemini at all. I am unable to find an appropriate option. How to stop it permanently? Can anyone help please?

Found it a bit useless as: 1. gemini keeps refusing the connect 2. its not reading the content/source of the web which is currently selected (I was aiming for it while searching the internet)

REMOVE THE LOGO ON THE BOTTOM RIGHT. Or at least add an option to remove it. It is disturbing.

This is a wrapper of gemini.google.com. We can already use gemni.google.com inside of Chrome in many places and many ways. For example, just enter your message to Gemini.google.com in search and URL bar with @ mark like "@this extension is a wrapper UI?" Furthermore, Google has already released "The Official Gemini GUI Functions for Chrome" now in English. This Gemini is Chrome's functions and GUI, not a just wrapper. In this system, Gemini is deeply integrated inside of Chrome to work mainly locally as one software. I recommend to try out the early Chrome build such as Canary, Dev, Beta for the fastest access of the usage not only in English. BTW, Chrome already includes Gemini Nano in Dev mode and General Usage who get it while the trial period.

Google Gemini is good, but way too expensive and ofcourse not value for money, Google should reduce the price ,,

Works well but the developer needs to add an option to remove the floating icon on the bottom right of every page. It's annoying and can't be removed. Also add an option to remove the Google search bar. It's unnecessary & redundant since I can just search google in my normal browser. I'm only interested in the Gemini prompt-bar.

Consider adding a screenshot tool inside it, so that the screenshots are temporary( I mean they shouldn't get saved the system memory). Please!

the new update is counter-intuitive. I want to access the sidebar quickly by clicking the icon. now it shows some screen with 2 things, and when I type my prompt in the left, it opens the sidebar without maintaining my text. Why tamper with something that was working perfectly.

I can't get the mic to work in your extension. Please check and fix this bug.

I don't know why, but the shortcut 'Alt + g' doesn't work, also the icon is not appearing

Good but it lacks some features that would greatly improve the use, for example: - the ability to hide the side icon from the screen, the one that opens gemini on the sidebar; - the ability to open gemini by highlighting text on a web page, right click, open gemini and copy the text directly to the gemini text editor without having to retype or copy and paste; - the ability to open gemini and use it when using the browser as a pdf reader;

Can you please give the ability to remove that annoying floating button that shows up on every website. Why can't Google make their own extension for Gemini?

microphone is not working with this addon -- tried all possible options ...

The extension works great but the little shortcut on the bottom right of the screen appeard when I print a paper. Like exporting a pdf from google sheet, the little round shortcut appear on the printed pdf haha weird stuff I don't know if we can remove it ?
